Newlywed Eva Longoria has been banned from having children by her 'Desperate Housewives' boss.The show's creator Marc Cherry told the couple during his wedding speech that Eva - who married basketball star Tony Parker in Paris on Saturday (07.07.07) - can't get pregnant for at least a year because it hasn't been written into her character Gabrielle Solis' storyline .
Eva insists she is "fine" with the pregnancy ban and is looking forward to spending time alone with her new husband.
She told America's OK! magazine: "We're fine with that. We want to spend some time with each other, even though we want kids very much."
The couple opted for a traditional Roman Catholic wedding at Paris' Saint Germain l'Auxerrois church.
Eva, who was born to Mexican-American parents, was keen to pay tribute to her Mexican roots during the ceremony.
Reverend Dominic Schubert, who officiated proceedings, revealed: "We added the Mexican traditions, with the lazo (large rosary) and the dimes, the Bible readings and the lighting of the unity candle."
