Britney Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline have kicked off their child custody battle in a Los Angeles court. Attorneys for the Toxic singer and Federline met with a lawyer from the Los Angeles County Counsel at the L.A. Country Superior Court on Monday.

Spears and Federline have two sons, Sean Preston, 23 months and 11-month-old Jayden James.

Leonardo is said to have proposed to Bar during a trip to Israel.

Before popping the question, the 'Titantic' star asked for, and was given the full blessing of the model's parents, who think he is a "total gentleman".

Christian Bale was bracing himself for an uncomfortable time on the set of new movie 3:10 To Yuma - because he'd been warned his Australian co-star Russell Crowe was difficult to work with.

But the 33-year-old was left surprised when Crowe turned out to be not just friendly, but the "easiest damn guy I've ever worked with."

He says, "Everyone said, 'Man, you're going to have a tough time.' And I thought, 'Bring it on! Come on, buddy, give me the best you got!' I tell ya, he was the easiest damn guy I've ever worked with. He was so simple. We got along so well, and he just appreciates people who know what they're doing - that's it. He's a good guy."

Lepaparazzi News Update: Foxy Brown in Trouble Again

NEW YORK - A judge has jailed Foxy Brown for violating her probation, authorities said Wednesday.

Officials had sought to have Brown's probation revoked after the 27-year-old rapper was arrested on charges that she smacked her Brooklyn neighbor with her cell phone, said Jack Ryan, a spokesman for the city Department of Probation. They also complained that Brown had skipped her anger management classes and failed to get permission before traveling outside the city.

Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson ruled Wednesday that Brown would remain behind bars until a Sept. 5 hearing.

A call to Brown's attorney wasn't immediately returned.

Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was on probation for attacking two manicurists at a nail salon in 2004. She was arrested for allegedly assaulting Arlene Raymond, 25, on July 30, after the pair got into a fight over Brown blasting her car stereo.

Rapper Kanye West has no regrets about speaking out against homophobia in hip-hop music, even though some people now assume he's gay. But West, who in 2005 called for an end to homophobia in the rap community, admits he still wouldn't feel comfortable socializing in a gay club, an attitude he attributes to his upbringing in Chicago, Illinois.

The 30-year-old says, "Speaking out against hip-hop homophobia, some people were like 'Oh, Kanye must be gay! Look at the way he's dressing! And why would he speak about it? He's a gay rapper.' And my whole point is, I wouldn't have spoke on that if I was gay or if I was in the closet. I would have stayed so far away from it. And I'm still homophobic myself to a certain extent. You know, I wouldn't go to a gay parade and feel comfortable. I wouldn't ever go to a gay club or something and just be chillin' and grab a drink. It's being in the entertainment world, I meet so many different gay people who are actually nice people. Where I came from, Chicago, being black and being a hip-hop artist, we used to really disrespect gay people. And the thing is, we can't get close to them with a 10-foot pole. And I realized, 'Wow, how ignorant has this been?'"

Pregnant socialite Nicole Richie agreed to marry boyfriend Joel Madden on Thursday, a U.S. radio DJ reports. Hot 99.5 morning show host Kane made the announcement at a Friday party in Virginia, where Madden performed with his band Good Charlotte.

Following the set, Kane told guests, "He got engaged yesterday. Congratulations, Joel!"

And despite receiving no reaction from Madden, the DJ is sticking to his story, telling People.com, he offered his congratulations to the rocker earlier in the night and "He said, 'Thank you so much.'"

Kane adds, "They're very excited about the baby and the wedding. They want to keep their personal life personal."

It seems the secret is already out though - while quizzing Madden about his relationship with Richie on his show on Thursday, U.S. TV personality Regis Philbin asked, "You're going to present her, maybe, with... A little ring, or something?"

A shocked Madden replied, "I was hoping it would be a surprise, but now..."

Richie is four and a half months pregnant with her first child with Madden.

Brace yourself: In her upcoming movie, Mary-Kate Olsen locks lips with Ben Kingsley. Yes, the one-time adorable tyke turned teenage titan, and Ghandi. Not surprisingly, the film's a comedy. Olsen is now 21. Kingsley is 63. Their film, "The Wackness," is slated for release next year.

"There is a very passionate scene in the film, which we filmed last week," Kingsley, who won the best-actor Oscar for 1982's "Ghandi," tells the syndicated TV show "Access Hollywood" in an interview scheduled to air Wednesday.

"It went extremely well and she was very focused. She was very good, very professional. She was quite wonderful."

When asked if he thinks the scene will stir up controversy, Kingsley says: "I'm sure it will. (Her character) is this great free spirit, you know, she is equally seducing so it is a level playing field."

In the film, Kingsley plays a therapist who forms a friendship with a teenage drug dealer (Josh Peck) who trades pot for therapy sessions. Olsen portrays one of the dealer's customers, who winds up kissing Kingsley's character.

"It's for a few seconds and then we disappear and we never see each other in the movie," Kingsley says. "But she is a trigger into my quest for happiness."

Though brief, the scene left a good impression on him. "Mary-Kate has huge energy," he says. "She is very, very committed to her work."

Olsen, who rose to fame on TV's "Full House," was last seen on the big screen opposite her sister, Ashley, in 2004's "New York Minute."

Kingsley's film credits also include "House of Sand and Fog" and "Schindler's List."

Angie Everhart has fueled speculation her odd romance with Joe Pesci is over after she was spotted romancing Ian Ziering at a Los Angeles restaurant.

Everhart and Pesci were rumored to be engaged just a month ago after a brief fling, but now it seems Sylvester Stallone's former girlfriend has a new celebrity lover.

She was spotted dining with Beverly Hills 90210 star Ziering at Los Angeles' Marix restaurant last week.

A source tells In Touch magazine it looked as if the star couple was on a first date: "They both looked kind of nervous. They spent the night talking about first date things like where they grew up, what their plans for the future are."

Angelina Jolie and her long-term partner Brad Pitt - whose relationship is rumored to be going through a rocky patch - are reportedly planning to travel to the African country to find a fourth disadvantaged child they can give a home to.

The couple - who are already adoptive parents to six-year-old Cambodian boy Maddox, Vietnamese son Pax Thien, three, and two-year-old Zahara, who was born in Ethiopia - believe another baby will strengthen their relationship and help Zahara feel more secure within the family.

A source close to the couple - who also have a 14-month-old biological daughter, Shiloh - told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Brad and Angelina have made no secret of the fact they are keen to extend their rainbow family.

"Angelina, in particular, feels very strongly that while Shiloh will grow up seeing the family resemblances between herself and her natural parents, and Maddox and Pax will have a connection through their birthplaces, Zahara has no such close-knit bond. Brad and Angelina hope that by finding a brother or sister for her, it will help Zahara feel more comfortable and happy in her own skin, and also bring them closer together."

The couple are said to be planning to visit Ethiopia's Wide Horizons agency, the same place that introduced them to Zahara, in November.
