Celebrity News: Pamela Anderson Stops Traffic

just got word that Ms. Anderson put on a fluorescent-orange crossing-guard vest this morning to help direct traffic for her kids' Malibu-area school. It was the first day back since last week's fires.

This was also Anderson’s return to the neighborhood. I’m told that as flames came dangerously close to Anderson’s home in the Point Dume area, she took the boys-Brandon, 11, and Dylan, 9-and hightailed it to Las Vegas, where she appears in Hans Klok’s magic show at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The little guys spent time with their new stepdad, Rick Salomon, golfing at Stallion Mountain, Angel Park and Dragon Ridge.

Celebrity News: Britney Spears' comeback success

Britney Spears' new album is set to be a huge success, despite the controversy surrounding her personal life.

The singer's LP, 'Blackout', goes on sale worldwide tomorrow (30.10.07) and although Britney's public image has taken a battering with accusations of drug use, bad parenting and excessive drinking, the album is being predicted to match the success of her past multi-million-selling records.

Geoff Mayfield, Billboard's director of charts, said: "You almost have to throw out the rule book when you evaluate her. You might think the attention she has got does not bode well, but the first single has been very well received."

Britney's comeback single 'Gimme More' is currently riding high at number six in the UK singles chart, and peaked at number 17 in the US Billboard chart.

'Blackout' is the singer's first studio album since 2003. Her previous four releases have all been number one hits and have sold more than 75 million copies worldwide.

The 12-track LP is predominantly produced by Timbaland protégé Nate "Danja" Hills and the Swedish duo Bloodshy and Avant, who also produced her Grammy-winning hit single 'Toxic'.

Barry Weiss, the President of Jive Records' parent company Zomba Label Group, emphasised the label is doing its best to keep the focus on Britney's music, not her

He said: "The sound is a maturation from her prior albums. "With so much noise out there about her, we are trying to keep the focus on the music as much as possible."

Britney - who recently lost custody of her two sons, Sean Preston, two, and 13-month old Jayden James to ex-husband Kevin Federline - will promote the album, but bosses are wary about how many live appearances she will be able to do.

Weiss said: "She will do her part to promote the record but we will be very selective about what she's asked to do."

Celebrity News: Sienna Miller's five proposals

Image

New love Rhys Ifans has asked her to marry him five times.

Sienna - who has constantly denied she is dating Rhys, despite the pair frequently being pictured together - isn't taking their romance seriously, while the 'Notting Hill' actor is "besotted" with her and desperate for them to wed.

A source said: "Their romance has been a big secret for months now. Friends believe Sienna sees the relationship as a bit of fun, while Rhys has fallen in love. Rhys wants the world to know but Sienna was keen to play it down - even though she usually flaunts her romances.

"He is besotted, totally in love. He can't believe his luck. He has already asked Sienna to marry him about five times but Sienna just laughs it off.

"His friends are worried that she will break his heart when someone better comes along."

Rhys, 39, has reportedly fallen out with his two best friends, fellow Welsh actors Ioan Gruffudd and Matthew Rhys, after they accused him of "stealing" Sienna from Matthew.

Sienna, 25, briefly dated Matthew in the summer after they met while filming 'The Edge of Love', and Rhys has been ostracised by his friends since he started romancing her.

The source added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Rhys Ifans' name is mud among his former band of Welsh acting buddies. They all think it is disgraceful behaviour that he stole someone else's girl."

Sienna's close friends are certain the relationship will not last because Rhys parties too much and lives "like a student".

One friend said: "He blows everything he earns on going out and drinking. He lives like a total student. His place is a mess. He has lots of really weird habits."

Celebrity News: Underwear Party at Pitt's House?

Sure, if you believe Casey Affleck, his costar in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

Pitt presented Affleck with the Hollywood Breakthrough Actor of the Year Award at last night’s Hollywood Awards gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Affleck said he auditioned for Jesse James at Pitt’s house. "There was a little chair set up with a camera on Brad’s lawn on his estate, and he came back maybe in his boxers," Affleck said. "I can’t remember. He rolled out of bed. He came down, did a scene a couple of times and they told me I didn’t get it. I thought, Well, I’m better off."

As we all know, Affleck actually did get the part. Perhaps those remarks were payback for Pitt roasting him during his presentation?

Pitt cracked that he didn’t know much about Affleck until he met him during the making of Ocean's Eleven. "He was good in Good Will Hunting," Pitt quipped about a movie more associated with Affleck's big brother, Ben.

And then he needled Affleck with yet another member of his family.

Of Affleck’s work in To Die For, Pitt teased, "I remember Joaquin [Phoenix]—great work!" (Remember, Affleck is married to Phoenix's sister Summer.)

Introducing a series of clips showing Affleck’s "hits and misses," Pitt said, "He’s been struggling, working hard to make a name for himself."

But Affleck wasn’t Pitt’s only target. He acknowledged Jesse James’ less than stellar box office by groaning that the flick is "playing now at a theater nowhere near you."

And that’s not all I have for you from the Hollywood Film Festival's Hollywood Awards. Gotta run right now to shoot this week’s installment of my Planet Gossip show.

But I’ll be back later to give ya the deets on Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere, John Travolta, Marcia Gay Harden and Janet Jackson.

Celebrity News: Mel B secures future

Mel B has reportedly ordered her husband to give up his rights to their £2.5 million marital home.

The Spice Girls star, who bought the Hollywood Hills mansion after signing a £10 million deal to reunite with her former bandmates for a world tour, forced husband Stephen Belafonte to declare she is the sole owner of the property.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Mel learned a lot from her divorce from Jimmy Gulzar. The marriage lasted less than a year and he got £700,000. She is smart enough to know she has to protect herself and her children.

"Stephen was happy to sign the form giving up rights to the property. He is not after Mel's cash."

Mel - who has an eight-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, with ex-husband Jimmy, and a six-month-old daughter, Angel Iris, with ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy - wed the film producer in a low-key Las Vegas ceremony in June following a whirlwind romance.

The couple moved into the luxurious 3,500sq ft house in California in August. Under California law, a spouse is entitled to up to 50 per cent of earnings and property unless they agree to sign a 'quit claim deed' form.

Meanwhile, Mel, who is still embroiled in a bitter battle with Eddie over maintenance payments for Angel Iris, is set to attend a Los Angeles hearing on November 14 to determine how much the 'Shrek' actor will be ordered to pay.

Celebrity News: Lost Star Michelle Rodriguez Passes Drug Test

Sacked Lost star Michelle Rodriguez has submitted herself for a drugs test - to prove to the media she's not a cocaine user.

The actress was furious after a gossip blogger suggested she was snorting cocaine during frequent bathroom trips at a Hollywood party they both attended last weekend.

And to prove she was clean, Rodriguez immediately requested a drugs test.

TMZ.com reports the actress was tested for methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, opiates, alcohol and other substances on Monday – and the results came back negative.

A pal tells the website, "She is not a drug addict and she doesn't even drink anymore."

Rodriguez has since jetted off to New Zealand to film James Cameron's Avatar.

She is due back in Los Angeles in December, when she will serve 180 days at Lynwood jail – where Paris Hilton did time earlier this year - for violating her probation.

Celebrity News: Vanessa and Nick Lachey Reality TV Show?

Vanessa Minnillo is desperately trying to persuade Nick Lachey to star in a reality TV show with her, it has been claimed.

The TV presenter - who is said to be engaged to the former 98 degrees singer - wants her own TV show but producers have told her she must get Nick to agree to co-star before they give the project the go-ahead.

However, Nick, 33, insists he isn't prepared to make his private life public again, like he did when he starred with ex-wife Jessica Simpson in their MTV reality show 'Newlyweds'.

A source said: "Vanessa's been trying to get Nick to change his mind for months because she really needs the show to get her career off the ground - but he isn't budging.

"Nick told me, 'God if I learned anything, I learned that if you want to screw up a perfectly good relationship, just let cameras follow you around 24/7. No way I'm going down that road again.' "

Vanessa, 26, has repeatedly denied she is planning her own reality show, but sources have revealed she has already pitched the idea to both E! and MTV.

Celebrity News: Britney Spears and her Love for Underwear

Britney Spears doesn't go out in underwear because she "just doesn't like" the feel of it on her skin.

The 'Toxic' singer - who has been frequently pictured in public without panties on - knows it is "stupid" to go out without underwear but just doesn't feel comfortable in it.

Jewellery designer Tuesday Knight, who has been friends with Britney since 2003, said: "Not wearing panties is ridiculous - and I've told her!

"I've said, 'You can't walk into a store wearing just a shirt with your underwear off, or get out of cars baring all.' I've told her that no one will take her seriously when she does this.

"Britney knows it's stupid, but says she just doesn't like to wear underwear. She doesn't feel comfortable with it on."

The 25-year-old mother-of-two, who has lost custody of sons Sean Preston, two and one-year-old Jayden James to ex-husband Kevin Federline, can't understand why people think she is a bad role model.

Tuesday added to In Touch Weekly magazine: "Britney has always been a good mother. I want people to know that she's the better parent - not

"Britney asked me, 'Doesn't anybody get to see this part of me?' The answer is, no, they don't. People just read about her not wearing underwear.

"I knew Britney when she and Kevin first met. She remade her entire life so it was all about him. She didn't even want to sign a prenup. Since then, I've watched her spiral downward."

Celebrity News: Kevin Federline Puffing Pot At Work?

Naughty Kevin Federline has reportedly been smoking marijuana on the set of his new TV show.

The former backing dancer - who is currently locked in a bitter custody dispute with ex-wife Britney Spears – is said to have stunned cast and crew on the North Carolina set of hit TV show One Tree Hill by openly puffing on joints.

A source snitches on K-Fed to the New York Daily News: "He is smoking marijuana all round the set, like it is just part of his lifestyle.

"The smell is so potent it's obvious that he is not just smoking regular cigarettes.

"He doesn't seem to see a need to hide it at all."

Earlier this month, Kevin won custody of his two sons with ex-wife after Britney failed to attend a court-ordered drugs test.

The next hearing is set for October 26.

Celebrity News: Kate Hudson wants Wilson

Kate Hudson is reportedly trying to rekindle her romance with ex-boyfriend Owen Wilson after splitting from Dax Shepard.

The 'Almost Famous' actress is said to be desperate to woo back Owen - who was hospitalised in August after a failed suicide bid - after realising she still loves him.

A source said: "It was working out between her and Dax but it's a clean break.

"After Owen's suicide attempt, she realised how much she loved him, and broke up with Dax."

Kate - who has a three-year-old son, Ryder, with ex-husband Chris Robinson - began dating Owen last year after meeting on the set of 'You, Me and Dupree'.

However, they split in June following reports they clashed over his wild lifestyle.

Pals of Owen say he was devastated by the break-up and was heartbroken when he saw pictures of Kate and 'Employee of the Month' star Dax canoodling while shopping.

Just days later, he was rushed to hospital when his actor brother Luke found him unconscious after slashing his wrists.

However, 'The Wedding Crashers' actor has made a good recovery and earlier this month, he attended the Los Angeles premiere of his new film 'The Darjeeling Limited'.

Celebrity News: Justin Timberlake's career Wife

Justin Timberlake will never find true love because he is married to his career, his former NSYNC bandmate Lance Bass has claimed.

Lance says the 'SexyBack' singer never fully committed to ex-girlfriend Britney Spears - who he dated between 1998 and 2002 - because he was only interested in being a pop star.

In his new autobiography, 'Out of Sync', Lance writes: "Britney showed no signs of the turmoil she would eventually encounter, maybe because she was so in love with Justin she thought it was going to last forever.

"I knew it wouldn't. Justin already had a great love in his life - his career. He wanted to be a star and no girl, no matter how great, was going to be able to distract him from that for more than a night or two between trips to the centre of the spotlight."

Lance also says Britney was a "perfect girlfriend" and liked nothing more than hanging out with NSYNC in her pyjamas.

He said: "At the time (2001), Britney struck me as just this adorable little teenage girl at a perennial slumber party, staying up late and having lots of fun.

"But as I said, she seemed like the perfect girlfriend, especially when she wore her pyjamas and hung out with the boys."

Justin - whose long-term relationship with actress Cameron Diaz ended in December - is currently dating Hollywood beauty Jessica Biel.

Celebrity News: Hallo Berry Preparing to become a Working Mother

The Oscar-winning actress, who is four months pregnant with her first child, is determined to keep working after she gives birth.

Halle told the New York Daily News newspaper: "I'm sure I'm going to have to manage being a working mom a year from now.

The 40-year-old star - who stars alongside Benicio Del Toro in new movie 'Things We Lost in the Fire' - has already revealed she and boyfriend Gabriel Aubry will start trying for another child as soon as the first is born.

She said: "I think I have to, based on my age, I think we'd have to really try again.

"We always talked about having two children. Whether or not we'll actually make that happen is left to be seen, but that would be our intent. That's for sure."

Celebrity News: Lindsay Lohan a Playboy Bunny?

Lindsay Lohan could play a Playboy Bunny in a new movie - if she stays sober.

The 'Mean Girls' star - who left rehab last week after a two-month stint for drink and drug addiction - has been offered the chance to appear in the new biopic of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.

Brett Ratner, who is directing the movie, told E! Online: "She is very talented - if she is sober. She would be great as a Playboy Bunny."

Ratner is not the only director to offer Lindsay a helping hand in getting her career back on track.

James Robinson - who branded the 21-year-old star "discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional" after they worked together on 'Georgia Rule' - would love to team up with her again.

He told the New York Post newspaper: "I would absolutely work with her again. I'd treat her like one of my own kids. She has all this fame and no one in her family to reel her in, no one to guide her, and one thing led to another. She is very, very talented and was never a diva on the set."

Movie tycoon Harvey Weinstein recently gave Lindsay's acting career a boost by saying he would be happy to hire her after she left rehab.

Weinstein - who worked with Lindsay on 'Bobby' - said: "Of course I would work with her again. She's a wonderful actress. She did a great job in 'Bobby'. Lindsay is a wonderful talent.

"I just hope that Lindsay is fine. She's a good lady."

Celebrity News: Still No Pregnancy Announcement From Jennifer Lopez

So Jennifer Lopez’s Madison Square Garden show came and went – without so much as an official announcement from the latino diva that she is with child.

On Friday Page Six quoted an (ill-informed as it turned out) insider as saying that J.Lo planned to confirm she is expecting her first child during Saturday's NYC performance.

Perezhilton.com is now reporting rumblings that producers at the Late Show With David Letterman are trying to persuade the singer to announce her pregnancy on Tuesday night’s show.

Or maybe she will follow Christina Aguilera's lead and announce the news once the baby (or babies - it's rumoured she's expecting twins) are born.

Celebrity News: Britney Spears To Give TV Interview With K-Fed?

Britney Spears is considering appearing alongside her ex-husband Kevin Federline in an explosive TV interview with notorious celebrity interviewer Martin Bashir.

Britney is keen to do an interview giving her side of the story over her recent failed custody battle with K-Fed, although she is said to be reluctant to agree to Federline's plans to talk in tandem to ABC's Bashir - famous for his interviews with Princess Diana and Michael Jackson.

A source tells The People, "As far as Martin is concerned it would be all of his Christmases come at once if he could secure a deal with both of them.

"He is really keen to do an interview that would blow the lid off their private lives. It would guarantee millions of viewers worldwide. In an ideal world, he would love to get them both in the same room.

"Kevin is up for that but Britney is less keen. Either way, it would be explosive viewing to get them both to open up their hearts to him."

Celebrity News: Gwen Stefani's rocker son

Gwen Stefani's 16-month-old son has learnt how to headbang.

The 'Hollaback Girl' singer says Kingston, her child with husband Bush guitarist Gavin Rossdale, has inherited his parents' musical genes.

Gwen told InStyle magazine: "He sings a lot to himself. He is just getting into music. He does the whole head-bouncing thing."

The 38-year-old star is so besotted with Kingston she would rather deprive herself of sleep than spend time away from him.

She said: "I love him so much. He is the best thing that's ever happened to me.

"This morning he woke up at 6am and I was like, 'OK, I'm going to die right now.' I definitely don't get enough sleep, but I'd rather spend time with him.

"I've got this extra-fun, amazing little guy who just wants to hang with me."

The No Doubt star even took Kingston on her 'The Sweet Escape Tour' and has adapted her bus to fit his every need.

She said: "There is a crib for Kingston with his little sleepy-time things on my tour bus. It is pretty adorable. And there's also a big playpen with a gate, so he can sleep up there if he wants. It's perfect for me too - sometimes he plays in there with me if I want to lie down."

Celebrity News: Kid Rock Says Pam Lied About Miscarriage

NEW YORK — Kid Rock claims Pamela Anderson lied about a miscarriage during their brief marriage last year. Anderson lied while they were arguing about visiting her on the set of a movie in Canada, the 36-year-old rapper alleges in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.

"She's in Vancouver shooting a movie and I have Lakers seats on the floor, and I'm gonna go to the Lakers (basketball) game with my friend Jesse James," the 36-year-old rapper says.

"I'm like, `Baby, I got these tickets. I'll see you on the weekend there,' and that leads into her saying, `You don't care about me, blah blah blah,'" Rock says. "She finally comes up with this: `I just had a miscarriage' ... and hangs the phone up."

Rock, claiming he was unaware that Anderson was pregnant, says he chartered a plane and flew to Vancouver. "When I get there, she's partying at this restaurant, drinking champagne, jumping on the tables. I'm thinking, `That's a quick recovery from a miscarriage.'"

Last November, a spokeswoman for the former "Baywatch" star said Anderson had suffered a miscarriage. Later that month, Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, and Anderson filed for divorce, seeking to end their marriage of less than four months.

In response to the allegations, Anderson's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, referred The Associated Press to an e-mail that is quoted in the magazine's story.

"I hope his album does well," the 40-year-old actress says. "I hope he's happy in life. We were married for four months. If he has nothing nice to say about me, then please tell him to stop talking about me."

Last month, Anderson and Rick Salomon applied for — and were granted — a marriage license in Las Vegas, according to Clark County's Marriage License Bureau.

Rock's latest album, "Rock N Roll Jesus," is due out next Tuesday.

Celebrity News: Rick Salomon Fuels Anderson Marriage Report

Poker player Rick Salomon has blasted Pamela Anderson's ex, Tommy Lee, for failing to satisfy the actress' sexual appetite.

Saloman criticised Lee for the sex tape he made with the 40-year-old blonde beauty when they were a couple, comparing the explicit video to his own infamous romp with Paris Hilton, entitled 1 Night In Paris.

And the 39-year-old fuelled reports he is to wed Anderson by referring to their "honeymoon".

He says, "At least Paris looked like she was having fun. Pam won't be wearing sunglasses on our honeymoon."

Saloman and the former Baywatch star successfully applied for a marriage license in Las Vegas on Saturday (29Sep07), according to reports. If Anderson is planning to marry Saloman, it will be her third trip to the altar, following failed unions to Lee and Kid Rock.

Celebrity News: Bono's New Spice Song

The U2 frontman penned the as-yet-unnamed track for the reunited girl group - Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Halliwell - who will perform it during their forthcoming world tour.

The group's record label bosses were said to be concerned the group's 'Greatest Hits' album - set to be released next month - would not match the success of their previous LPs and believed Bono's involvement could boost sales.

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "It might seem unusual with the Spice Girls' pop roots and the much rockier work of Bono, but it works.

"There's been a bit of unease as to how the album will perform and if there's still a solid Spice Girls' fan base out there.

"Bono's involvement has lifted the whole camp and he's delighted to have been asked and add his experience."

Bono is not the first star to be asked to collaborate with the girls on their comeback album.

Last month, it was revealed George Michael is writing a Christmas song for the band.

The 'Careless Whisper' singer is confident he can pen a hit for the group to challenge the winner of this year's 'X Factor' - the British TV talent show - for the coveted UK Christmas number one.

The group's high-anticipated world tour starts on December 7 in Los Angeles.

Celebrity News: Angelina Jolie' Solo Film Career

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt won't make another movie together because there would be nobody to look after their children.

The couple - who met on the set of 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' - are determined to raise their four kids, Maddox, six, Pax, three, Zahara, two, and 16-month-old Shiloh, themselves.

The devoted parents have made a pact that only one of them works while the other cares for the children.

Angelina said: "We won't work together again, because who would be there to watch the children if we did?!"

The Oscar-winning actress - who has admitted to sometimes getting help with the childcare - says she and Bard want to be as hands-on as possible because she doesn't trust other people easily.

She said: "I think that every parent worries that something will happen to their child. It's not that I distrust everyone, it's just that I don't walk around with complete faith, openness and trust."

Despite having four young children, Brad recently revealed the couple would like to add to their brood.

When asked if they wanted a fifth child, Brad replied: "Yeah, we're ready."
