Renfro gets shafted by the Academy

Just in case you didn't happen to see it, actor Brad Renfro was left out of the "In Memoriam" trubute last night at the Oscars. You won't believe the statement that the Academy gave online entertainment site TMZ.com. "It is simply not possible to include everyone in that segment". The memoriam tribute included 98 people in the movie industry who died last year. This list included actors, studio execs, agents, makeup artists, etc.

It seems to me that Brad Renfro, whose movies include "The Client", "Apt Pupil" and "Sleepers", seems more prominent than Margaret Gardner, the head executive of the international division of a public relations firm. They included actors, studio execs, makeup artists, agents, and on and on. Renfro was nowhere to be seen.

Someone from Renfro's life called the rude move by the academy "unbelievable and disgusting". I don't think they could have described it any better.
