We are completely 100% for saving wildlife! So we want you to help us by promoting the newest exhibit at the Bronx Zoo right up the coast from us! Tell everyone about it! The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) opened up a spectacular exhibit at The Bronx Zoo featuring the wildlife of Madagascar. The new exhibit offers guests a breathtaking view of the world’s fourth largest island off Africa’s eastern coast and home to an amazing array of unique animals and plants. The exhibit features a wealth of wildlife diversity found in this island nation, sometimes called “the eighth continent.”

You can find cute and cuddly animal videos at the Wildlife Conservation Society's YouTube channel here. It's well worth poking around there, the animal videos are awesome!

The Official 2008 Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge Champs Announced

Hey, Star Wars fans! You may remember the post from a week or two ago with the Star Wars spoof commercial. People really liked it! Well, The Official 2008 Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge champions were announced in grand fashion at Comic-Con. They razzled, they dazzled and now they're at Atom.com for your viewing pleasure, and coming soon to Spike TV!

These short films really came out great and the directors and production teams have a lot to be proud of. For starters, check out Padme, the George Lucas Selects Award winner.

“FLY ME TO THE MOON” in theatres August 15th!

In this groundbreaking 3-D animated adventure, three young flies set off on a courageous mission to become the first insects on the moon by hitching a ride on the historic Apollo 11 space flight. Based on the actual transcripts and the original blueprints from NASA, the film’s stunning visuals and meticulous attention to detail introduce a whole new generation to the awe-inspiring achievements of the space program’s most momentous mission.

The year is 1969 and like everyone else in the world, Nat (Trevor Gagnon) and his pals IQ (Philip Daniel Bolden) and Scooter (David Gore) are abuzz over the upcoming launch of the first manned mission to the moon. Inspired by his Grandpa’s (Christopher Lloyd) oft-told tale of hiding aboard Amelia Earhart’s plane during her famed solo cross-Atlantic flight, Nat hatches a secret plan for the three young flies to stow away on the Apollo 11 rocket. The hard part is keeping the plan secret from his mom, Mrs. McFly (Kelly Ripa)! When a N.A.S.A. Ground Control official catches sight of the three winged stowaways, he instructs the astronauts to store them in a test tube for later study. But after an electrical short causes the ship’s engine to malfunction, the three intrepid insects manage to escape from their glass mini-brig just in time to discover the wiring problem and fix it.

After a difficult lunar landing, Nat tags along with Neil Armstrong on his legendary moon walk. Although the flies face a few more close calls, the mission appears to be a success. At least until Grandpa’s old flame Nadia (Nicolette Sheridan) arrives from Russia to warn him that her government, angry over losing the space race, has dispatched fly-spy Yegor (Tim Curry) to Cape Canaveral to sabotage the computer flight plans. With the Apollo hurtling toward Earth, it falls to Nat’s family to save the mission—and the trio of brave flies—from disaster.

Amy Winehouse's drink spiked with Ecstasy?

Amy Winehouse’s dad Mitch says his daughter was rushed to University College Hospital on Monday night because she accidentally overdosed on prescription drugs.

‘She had a bad reaction to some medication,’ he tells the Daily Star. ‘She took 2 doses instead of 1, by mistake.

'She did not take a deliberate drug overdose. She is on medication to wean her off hard drugs and she took the wrong amount.

‘The drug replacement is an opiate and caused her to fall ill and have a fit. We are now waiting for the toxicology report.’

But another tabloid claims Mitch, 57, thinks a pal spiked Amy’s drink with ecstasy – and he is even said to have reported his suspicions to police.

‘He is convinced that one of her hangers-on was responsible and he’s waiting for a toxicology report to show what caused her to fit,’ a source tells The Sun.

Amy, 24, was diagnosed with lung disease emphysema last month.

Alicia Keys and Jack White will sing the theme for the latest James Bond film.

Their song Another Way To Die is the first duet in the franchise’s history.

Alicia, 27, is an R ‘n’ B star while Jack, 33, is famous for his rock band The White Stripes.

She has provided the vocals, while he has written, produced and played the drums on the track.

‘We are delighted and pleased to have two such exciting artists as Jack and Alicia,’ producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli tell the BBC.

The pair have beaten Amy Winehouse, Duffy, both 24, and Leona Lewis, 23, who were considered favourites.

Christian Bale has revealed that he suffers from extreme mood swings.

The Batman actor, 34 – who was arrested in connection with a alleged assault on his mum and sister last week – admits he’s a very intense person.

‘Sometimes I’ll get into these strange, dark moods,’ he says.

‘They don’t last very long any more. Ever since my daughter was born, I’ve learned that it doesn’t make sense to be gloomy when you have such beauty and wonder in your life.’

Christian - who has 3-year-old Emmeline with wife Sibi - says he's lucky that his wife empathises.

‘My wife understands my occasionally obsessive streaks and she just laughs and tells me: “You’re crazy!” And I’ll just laugh right back,' he says.

Victoria Beckham is said to be in talks with producers about playing an English teacher in the latest High School Musical film.

Zac Efron, 20, who plays hunky Troy Bolton in the movies, is keen for Posh to join the franchise.

'She is hot, funny - and let's not forget her success with the Spice Girls,' he says.

But 34-year-old Victoria's rep has denied the rumours.

'She has not been approached, but the Beckham boys are big fans of High School Musical,' he tells the Daily Star.

Elizabeth Taylor was reportedly close to death when she was put on a life support machine earlier this week.

The veteran actress, 76, who was rushed to hospital with pneumonia on 15 July, suffers from congestive heart failure.

Her condition is now thought to have stabilised enough for her to be allowed to breath without medical help.

'The doctors thought they were going to lose her,' a source tells the National Enquirer.

'She's still very sick, but she's past the crisis.'

Liz, who uses a wheelchair because of osteoporosis, is being watched over by her family.

The star, who has been married and divorced 8 times, has 3 biological children and adopted a fourth with Richard Burton.

Blake Fielder-Civil on the verge of breakdown?

Amy Winehouse’s husband seeks counselling

Blake Fielder-Civil is said to be struggling to cope in Pentonville Prison.

Amy Winehouse’s husband was sentenced to 27 months behind bars last week after pleading guilty to GBH and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

But after already serving nearly 9 months on remand while awaiting trial, Blake, 26, is thought to be feeling the strain.

He's even reported to have sought counselling.

‘He is on the verge of a nervous breakdown,’ an insider tells The Sun. ‘He has stopped his mopping job, which may sound funny, but it gave him something to do. Instead he mopes around his cell.’

Meanwhile, Amy’s celeb pals have spoken out about how she needs help as she comes to terms with life without Blake.

‘She’s not married a year and her old man’s locked up,’ Pete Doherty, 29, tells the Daily Record. 'It's a lonely life and she's hounded by the papers. I feel so, so sorry for her.'

Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, 26, adds that moving from Camden will help Amy, 24, escape her demons.

‘It could do Amy good to get out of there and get a fresh start and perspective,’ she tells the Daily Star. ‘I love Amy. She’s a good girl. I’ll look out for her.

Balthazar Getty may be feeling the grass was greener where he was.

The Brothers and Sisters star is reportedly trying to get back with his wife.

Getty wrote to his wife Rosetta, the mother of his four children, in emails saying, “I love you,” “I miss you,” reports TMZ.

Britney Spears Wants No Contact With Sam Lutfi

Britney Spears doesn’t need a restraining order against former sidekick Sam Lutfi anymore.

“Britney has made clear to everyone that she does not want to be further harassed or contacted in any way by Osama ‘Sam’ Lutfi, now or at anytime in the future,” the pop star’s attorney said.

Spears will not seek an extension for a restraining order against Lutfi, because she has made it clear to the old pal that she wants nothing to do with him.

Lutfi, for the time being, seems willing to go along with those wishes.

At attorney for Lutfi released the following statement Wednesday: “Mr. Lutfi and Mr. Spears have mutually agreed in private that no hearing or order is necessary at this time.”

Attorneys for Spears and her father, Jamie, are expected to appear in a Los Angeles courtroom Thursday morning to give an update on the conservatorship. A hearing on a temporary restraining order barring Lutfi from having contact with the pop singer was also scheduled for Thursday. The order issued earlier this year required Lutfi to stay 250 yards away from Spears or her homes.

Spears’ mom accused Lutfi in court papers of keeping her daughter a hostage in her own home, drugging her and taking over her finances.

He was with the singer when she was photographed without underwear and various other situations the star exhibited erratic behavior.

Spears’ father has control over his 26-year-old daughter’s personal life and finances. Thursday’s hearing had originally been scheduled to decide whether the conservatorship should be made permanent, but Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz decided weeks ago that she would instead consider other issues.

It is unclear how long Spears’ affairs will remain under her father’s control, but Ingham wrote that he does not expect her feelings about Lutfi to change.

“If Mr. Lutfi makes any future attempt to contact Britney after the temporary conservatorship has concluded, Britney has made clear she will take all appropriate legal action,” Ingham wrote.

Lauren Conrad: “I’m Not a Tortured Soul”

The Hills Lauren Conrad says there’s more to her than tears and anger.

“I know I look tortured...I’m not a tortured soul,” she tells the September issue of CosmoGirl.

“But, it’s a TV show and you don’t see all sides of people,” the reality star adds.

“The Hills is meant to be a dramatic show about relationships,” Conrad said. “It’s not about me being a designer. No one wants to see me working at the factory on my collection, or me and Lo [Bosworth] having a dance party in our pajamas.”

However, Conrad isn’t so easygoing about all of the aspects that come with fame.

“Can you imagine being 22 and having your parents know everything about you?” she asks the magazine.

“Literally, my mom can go on the Internet and find out where I went last night, who I was with. I mean, there are no secrets!”

Conrad’s clothing line was recently dropped from L.A. boutique Kitson because, they say, she did not promote it enough.

Alex Rodriguez Responds to Wife’s Divorce Filing

New York Yankees Alex Rodriguez takes a slug at his wife, Cynthia, in a new statement.

The baseball player responds to his wife’s claim of “emotional abandonment” and her request to keep the $12 million Coral Gables mansion.

He argued that the divorce settlement should be determined by their prenup, which Cynthia signed a month before their 2002 wedding, reports People magazine.

The pair have two children, Natasha, 3, and Ella, three month. A-Rod admits that his wife is a “loving and nurturing mother.”

According to court documents, the athlete wants the two to work out a time-sharing custody schedule without the court’s intervention.

Although A-Rod admits the marriage is “irretrievably broken,” he feels that mentioning “immaterial and impertinent” issues like his alleged “extra marital affairs and other marital misconduct,” is unrelated to the case, because Florida is a “no fault” state.

Although Madonna was not mentioned in Cynthia’s court documents, her attorney called the Yankee’s association with the singer an “affair of the heart” and “the last straw.”

While most stars keep their romantic lives under wraps, Jessica Simpson spills her guts on everything from her current boyfriend Tony Romo to an abusive relationship with an unnamed ex.

“Tony understands me,” she told Elle in their September issue. “He appreciates my talent. He’s the first person I’ve spiritually connected with. I’m a girl that loves to be in love. I love love!”

But, the 24-year-old singer’s love life hasn’t been all roses.

“I was going through a lot of pain,” she said of her past relationships. “I didn’t try anything to change my life other than dating different types of guys and conforming to their worlds. I thought I had to be artsier, more intellectual.”

When the asked about the song “Remember That” which references an abusive relationship she tells the magazine she has “definitely experienced abuse in a way that [she] would tell people to take their heart and run.”

But who is the mystery man? Simpson wouldn’t go into detail, but was quick to praise ex-boyfriend John Mayer making it clear he wasn’t the culprit.

“John believed in the Jessica Simpson that’s within,” she gushed. “He cherished our love. He helped make me the woman I am today. John is going to be an amazing man for someone, but I know that I was supposed to be with someone else.”

Austin Powers 4 In The Works

Yeaaa, Baby, Yeaa! Mike Meyers has reportedly started writing a script for Austin Powers 4.

There's no deal in place yet but New Line is apparently really waiting for a script and getting something in the works for another installment of the film. The flick will be an homage to Meyers' father, says an insider, "It's very personal with a father and son theme loosely based on his own life."

Meyers has previously said that the fourth movie will focus on villain Dr. Evil. What do we think about Austin Powers #4? I definitely thought the movies were funny - it's been so long though, do we think people will still be into it?

Entertainment Weekly will give us an in depth look at TV's most scripted (and fantastic) reality show in an upcoming EW article They Shoot, Lauren Scores. But when will the show call it quits? Lauren Conrad says that every season she thinks it's the last, but creator Adam DiVello says he would love to see the show go til LC marries.

It was a Hollywood fairytale for Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Two young actors meet on the set of the romance picture they're filming, and they themselves fall in love.

But wait, this is Hollywood - town of Machiavellian back-stabbers, so of course it was no surprise when the two split over a year ago.

Now there are rumors that the former flame has gotten a new spark, and the two may be back together.

McAdams was spotted at Gosling's DJing gig at Hollywood's Green Room being more than just a friendly supporter.

An onlooker commented: “At first we thought Rachel was just there to support him as a friend but when he finished, they got very close and cosy then left together.”

M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes,” off her latest, Kala, jumps to #1 on iTunes electronic song chart and #18 on the iTunes singles chart after appearing in the trailer for ’ “Pineapple Express.” The movie stars Seth Rogan and James Franco and is out on Columbia Pictures August 6.

Previously landing at #73, “Paper Planes” sudden move to the Top15 is huge gain – do the math it’s like 5 times higher, or up like 125%. Artistically, Rhianna has been giving the song the stadium treatment, covering “Paper Planes” in the Glow in the Dark tour with Kanye West. Jennifer Aniston Wed Brad Pitt Eight Years Ago yesterday

Eight years ago today, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston wed in a star-studded, $1 million ceremony in Malibu, CA.

"We were engaged for a year-and-a-half, and we just got married when it felt right," Pitt, then 36, has said of their decision to tie the knot.

In her vows, Aniston, then 31, promised to always make Pitt his "favorite banana milk shake." Pitt, in turn, vowed to "split the difference on the thermostat."

While exchanging rings, the couple declared: "With this ring, I thee wed... so that all the world may know my love for you."

Aniston later recalled: "Nothing is more moving than seeing a man cry at his own wedding."

Hollywood's golden couple split in January 2005 under speculation that the actor had turned to Mr. & Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie.

"This decision is one of much thoughtful consideration," Pitt and Aniston said in a statement about their breakup. "We happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another."

Jolie gave birth to the couple's twins Knox and Vivienne earlier this month. They join the pair's adopted brood of Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and biological daughter Shiloh, 2.

Aniston, meanwhile, has been dating musician John Mayer.
