Britney Spears has been nominated for an MTV Video Music Award.
The singer's video Piece Of Me, in which she hits back at the media for invading her personal life, is up for Best Female Music Video.
Mariah Carey (Touch My Body), Rihanna (Take a Bow), Jordin Sparks (No Air) and Katy Perry (I Kissed a Girl) have also been nominated.
Usher, Chris Brown and Little Wayne are among those fighting it out in the male category.
The 25th annual awards will be hosted by Russell Brand on 7 September. It will be held at the Paramount Studios in Hollywood.
