Fashion industry designer Jenny Packham designed a red, frilly dress for Hermione Granger in the latest Harry Potter film, and she says that it was fun, but a challenge as well. In the film, Hermione is old enough to have developed her own sense of style. In real life, actress Emma Watson, the 20-year-old who plays Hermione, is becoming a fashion icon in her own right.
Packham told Vogue.co.uk that she thoroughly enjoyed designing for Hermione. “I had to combine the youthfulness of Hermione, with Emma's iconic fashion status,” she told Vogue. Watson displayed her unique celebrity fashion style and wowed the crowds at the world premier of The Deathly Hallows Part 1 in London recently, wearing a gorgeous black lace mini dress with a feathered skirt.
