Russell Crowe's Good Deed
Currently Russel Crowe is in the U.K. filming a new film with Ridley Scott, you may be familiar with the name. Robin Hood. Considering that robbing from the rich and giving to the poor in today's world is virtually impossible, Russel committed a good deed that is clearly so much better than having stolen from anyone.
A lowly boom mike operator on set by the name of Denise Yarde had a auto accident on the way to work where her car actually caught fire and totaled. After calling into to report her ordeal and why she'd be late to work it's reported that Crowe made a joke in poor taste over her frightening experience. She confronted him saying, "Well , I suppose it's ok for you Russell. You've probably never had to worry about finding give grand for new car." Crowe walked away slightly embarrassed over his faux pas.
Feeling bad over his lapse in judgment Crowe made amends. He returned later that afternoon and gave her (in cash) the 5 thousand she pointed out which is equal to approximately 8 thousand U.S. dollars. In genuine gratitude Yarde gave Crowe a hug and reportedly bought a 2007 Saab. No word on how good he sounds in the film yet.
