Hollywood’s girl-of-the-moment Jessica Biel has landed a plum movie role that had been earmarked for Lindsay Lohan. Jessica, 24, will now play Hester Worsley in the film version of Oscar Wilde’s A Woman of No Importance, Myriad Films confirmed to In Touch.
Lindsay announced last week that she was pulling out of the film, saying she wanted to concentrate on getting sober following her decision to go into rehab. But Hollywood whispers say that she is becoming hard to insure after illnesses caused delays on consecutive movies.
The decision to cast Jessica threatens to reignite a festering feud between the two starlets.
Lindsay, 20, was furious when her assistant, Lindsay Ratowsky, left her to work for the star of The Illusionist. They had a run-in at a party in New York in November when Lindsay screamed at Ratowsky when she saw her there with Jessica.
A Woman of No Importance, which also stars Annette Bening and Sean Bean, is due to start filming this spring.
