Every time a TV show is interrupted by a commercial break, moans and sighs of frustration infiltrate the room. However, there is one day out of the year when these breaks are something to look forward to: Super Bowl Sunday. Those who attend Super Bowl gatherings only for wings and partying, are able to collectively enjoy the commercials.
This year, three major talk show hosts get together for one of these anticipated commercials... and it has got many talking. It only lasts about 15 seconds and it stars Oprah Winfrey, David Letterman and Jay Leno.
The three are on the couch pretending to watch the Super Bowl. Letterman says, "this is the worst Super Bowl party ever," and Oprah tries to tell him to be nice. Leno then replies, "he's just saying that cause I'm here." Letterman then mocks Leno. A funny interaction, considering all of the controversy that has gone on with NBC this past winter.
Leno is scheduled to return to "The Tonight Show." However, this commercial was to promote Letterman's "The Late Show With David Letterman." Although late night rivals, the two were able to get together for some Super Bowl fun.
And... it did not hurt that one of the biggest names in the world was sitting on the couch in between them. Oprah is definitely the best choice to mediate any conflict!
