MySpace Music Announces Secret Show Featuring Mastodon!


MySpace Music is pleased to announce an upcoming Secret Show featuring Mastodon at LaunchPad on Wednesday, April 15. The Secret Show performance will be held exclusively for MySpace users, who were notified via MySpace Music’s Secret Show profile . Doors for the concert will open at 8:00 PM. Special guests Kylesa and Intronaut will be opening the show.


MySpace Music recently premiered, "Crack the Skye", the fourth full-length album from the Grammy-nominated band. Continuing to employ a conceptual framework to their songwriting, Mastodon's new album is an apt successor to its widely-received, genre-crossing "Blood Mountain" album of 2006, marrying mythology with mathematical Metal to stunning results. “Crack the Skye” was produced by Brendan O'Brien (Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam, AC/DC). In addition to the band’s charting success, Mastodon will also be performing this year as part of the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA, on Saturday, April 18, 2009. MySpace Music Announces Secret Show Featuring MSTRKRFT


MySpace Music is pleased to announce an upcoming Secret Show featuring the Canadian duo MSTRKRFT at Co-Prosperity Sphere in Chicago, IL, on April 2. The Secret Show performance will be held exclusively for MySpace users, who were notified via MySpace Music’s Secret Show profile . Doors for the concert will open at 8:00 PM.


Comprised of Death From Above 1979's Jesse Keeler and DFA1979's producer, Al-P, MSTRKRFT (pronounced "master kraft") made their debut in 2004, remixing NYC band Panthers' "Thank Me With Your Hands," which landed on various compilations and quickly became an underground dance hit. Since then, the two Toronto-based producers have been remixing everyone from The Kills to Bloc Party to Wolfmother to Annie. Released on March, 17, 2009, "Fist Of God" (Dim Mak/Downtown) is the highly-anticipated follow-up to their massively successful 2006 debut "The Looks" and features contributions from N.O.R.E., Ghostface Killah, Bay Area hip-hop icon E-40, Freeway, Lil' Mo and John Legend. Most recently, the group performed their single "Bounce" on Jimmy Kimmel Live with N.O.R.E and Isis from Thunderheist. Touring North America throughout April, the duo will also be making an appearance at this year's Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA, on Saturday, April 18.

MySpace Music Announces Secret Show Featuring The Gaslight Anthem and Fake Problems!

MySpace Music is pleased to announce an upcoming Secret Show featuring the much buzzed about band The Gaslight Anthem at Common Grounds in Gainesville, FL on Monday, March 9. Opening for the band in this intimate venue will be Fake Problems. Lily Allen at the Bowery Ballroom in New York

MySpace Music Presents Metro Station And Hey Monday Playing a MySpace Secret Show Presented By TurboTax

MySpace Music is excited to announce an upcoming Secret Show presented by TurboTax® Federal Free Edition featuring Metro Station and Hey Monday as the opening band. The intimate concert will take place on Tuesday, January 20 at 7 pm at Soma Sidestage in San Diego. Both bands are touring with Fall Out Boy and this show marks their only scheduled appearance in the San Diego area. The Secret Show performance will be held exclusively for MySpace users, who were notified today via MySpace.



Metro Station is a rapidly rising Hollywood-based electro-pop/rock quartet. The band’s first single from their eponymous debut, “Shake It,” was a top 5 pop radio hit and reached platinum status. The video for the single was viewed almost a million times on its MySpace page.

MySpace Music Presents Rise Against Secret Show On October 7th At TT The Bears in Boston!

Band is asking all fans to donate food to The Greater Boston Food Bank as part of their admission order to get into the show!
MySpace Music announces that one of the most respected names in punk rock Rise Against (www.myspace.com/riseagainst) will be playing a club show at TT The Bears in Boston on October 7 as part of MySpace's Secret Show series. The Secret Show is a free, exclusive performance for the MySpace community. Rise Against and MySpace are asking fans to donate food which will go The Greater Boston Food Bank for entry into the show. The band has also partnered with Peta2 for the show who will be distributing literature inside the show. This is the first ever Secret Show in which MySpace have partnered with a charity. After talking with the band, the program realized this was the perfect band to do this with and an incredible way to kick off the release of their new album.


For their fifth studio album, "Appeal To Reason," Rise Against teamed up with Bill Stevenson (Black Flag, Descendants) and Jason Livermore to record at the Blasting Room in Ft. Collins, CO-- the same production team and studio used for "The Sufferer & the Witness" and "Revolutions Per Minute." First single "Re-Education (Through Labor)" is already a top 5 Modern Rock hit.

MySpace Music Presents Critically Acclaimed Duo "The Kills" In An Intimate Club Show October 6th In Baltimore!


MySpace announces that beloved rock duo The Kills will be playing an intimate performance at The Ottobar in Baltimore, Maryland on October 6th as part of MySpace Music's Secret Show series. The co-ed group recently released their third album, "Midnight Boom," and have spent the summer performing with The Raconteurs. Myspace Secret Show Presents The Hold Steady

MySpace Secret Shows is pleased to announce that The Hold Steady, one of the most critically lauded bands of the last decade, will play a small intimate show at The Railyard in Billings, MT on Thursday, July 24. The Secret Show featuring Hold Steady is a free, exclusive performance for the MySpace community and is one of the only shows of this nature that the band will play on their current U.S. tour in support of Stay Positive, the new album released July 15 on Vagrant Records.

Opening for The Hold Steady is the hook-heavy punk rock band from Philadelphia the Loved Ones who released their latest album, Build & Burn to glowing reviews on Fat Wreck Records this past February.

The Hold Steady celebrated the release of the Stay Positive by appearing on Late Show with David Letterman playing a song as well as taking part in a comedy skit. Tokyo Police Club To Perform MySpace Secret Show in Baltimore, April 27th

MOBY TO PERFORM SPECIAL DJ SET AT MYSPACE SECRET SHOW IN CHICAGO, APRIL 22


Moby (http://www.myspace.com/moby) -- one of the pioneering musicians of the last 20 years -- will perform a DJ set with DFA Associates Holy Ghost!, Justin Miller and Jacques Renault at a free MySpace Secret Show , Tuesday, April 22 at Smart Bar in Chicago. The show starts at 9 PM.

Moby recently released his latest album Last Night on April 1, through Mute Records. Alternating between hands-in-the-air anthems, old school hip-hop and end-of-the-night ambience, Last Night is a dance music tour de force that looks back at Moby’s deep roots in the club scene while simultaneously embracing the future.

The album has been hailed by various music outlets, including Rolling Stone who, in a four star review declared, “it’s exciting to hear this forty-two-year-old vegan blogger return to form.” Likewise, Moby’s DJ sets are not to be missed.
