A kiss from Robert Pattinson was auctioned off at the Cannes film festival last night to raise money for amfAR's annual Cinema Against AIDS. Just a wopping $20,000.Other items auctioned off at Cannes included former president Clinton's Alpine Alto saxophon, a 1995 Bruce Weber picture of Sean Penn, and a private screening of the Brad Pitt-Quentin Tarantino movie Inglourious Bastards. Josh Hartnett offered to strip to raise money for the charity, but sadly the bids never got high enough.
A total of more than $1 million was raised at the charity auction. "This is an amazing turnout this year, and we've doing this for 15 years. I think, considering the economy, we did a great job here tonight," amfAR chairman Harvey Weinstein said.
