DMX Arrested... Yet Again

These days rapper DMX doesn't need a publicist. As long as he maintains his weekly arrest record, he's sure to stay on the radar. Well he's at it again and this time it's for a diagnose and dash.

The rapper was arrested at a Phoenix mall on Sunday on felony charges of identity theft, when he allegedly gave a false name and Social Security number to avoid paying a $7,500 hospital bill in April.

Police say DMX, real name Earl Simmons, checked into a hospital in April using the name "Troy Jones." He was arrested outside Phoenix's Metrocenter mall while hanging out with a group of friends.

Police, who have been investigating the charges for months, say they ran the rapper's real name, found the warrant and arrested him on the spot.

This is the rappers fifth arrest in the past three months. A bond has yet to be set.

Andy Dick Arrested

Andy Dick was arrested early Wednesday for drug use and sexual battery after the comedian allegedly pulled down a teenager's tank top, police said.

The former "NewsRadio" co-star was released from detention after posting $5,000 bail. The actor's representatives have not yet issued a comment.

Police were called to the Buffalo Wild Wings in Murrieta, Cal., at about 1:13 a.m. to investigate a reported "intoxicated male" urinating outside the bar and causing a disturbance, according to the police statement.

Upon arrival, a 17-year-old girl told police that Dick "grabbed her tank top and bra and pulled them down and exposed her breasts" as he left the bar.

Friends escorted the actor to a truck, which was stopped at a near by Sam's Club.

Dick was identified by the teenager and another witness, police said.

Police found marijuana and Xanax in the actor's pockets during a search and he seemed "very intoxicated," according to the report.

Dick, 42, was booked at Southwest Detention Center in French Vally, Cal. on suspicion of felony drug possession, misdemeanor sexual battery and misdemeanor marijuana possession.

The actor has a background of crude behavior, reportedly exposing himself to audiences twice. He was also cited in Ohio for public urination.

In 1999, Dick was arrested for possession of marijuana and cocaine after driving his car into a telephone pole in Hollywood, Cal.

Tatum O'Neal blames drug bust on dog's death

When Oscar-winning former child star Tatum O'Neal was arrested in New York Sunday after a narcotic team spotted her buying crack and cocaine, she said she was "doing research" for an upcoming role as a junkie.

But now the actress, who wrote a 2004 memoir "A Paper Life" about her recovery from heroin addiction, says her dog's death "set her off."

"There's no excuse for what I did. (But) I lost my Scottish terrier, Lena. That seemed to set me off," O'Neal told The New York Post. "She got old. She got cancer. She was the fabric of our family. We had to let her go to heaven. My daughter and I had to put her down. It was too horrible for words.

"I couldn't get out of it. I was going to my psychiatrist. I was doing everything I could do. I have the disease of alcoholism. It's lifelong. I treat it every day by going to my 12-step program."

O'Neal credits the police who arrested her for dissuading her to go back down the path of alcoholism and addiction.

She told The Post: "I'm still sober! Just when I was about to change that and wreck my life, the cops came and saved me! I was saved by the bell, by the guys in the Seventh Precinct."

The actress was arrested and charged with one misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and is due to return to court July 28.

Oscar-winning child star Tatum O'Neal was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance.

According to The New York Daily News the actress, 44, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. a few blocks from her Lower East Side apartment charged with buying crack cocaine.

After searching O'Neal the police found bag of crack, a bag of cocaine and an unused crack pipe. Police said that she claimed she was "doing research for a part" as a junkie.

"I've been clean for a long time," the Daily News quoted her telling police. "Today was the first time I was relapsing, but you guys saved me. Can you let me go?"

According to her memoir "A Paper Life," her 1995 drug addiction was a result of losing custody of her children. In 1996 she went into rehab.

The parents of a 7-month-old baby boy were taken into custody in Germany after they posted an ad on eBay offering to sell their son for $1.60 (one euro).

Peter Hieber, a spokesman for the police, said the baby was placed with youth services in the southwestern Allgaeu, Germany area. He also said that on Saturday the mother said the ad was a joke, but the authorities have still begun an investigation regarding possible child trafficking.

The Internet ad was up for two hours and thirty minutes. No one made an offer, but several people alerted the police about the post, which eBay eventually deleted.

Rapper DMX arrested

Rapper DMX, 37, was arrested Friday on drug and animal cruelty charges, Arizona sheriff's deputies said.

The artist, whose real name is Earl Simmons, attempted to avoid arrest by barricading himself inside his Cave Creek, Ariz. home. According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, he faces four felony drug possession charges and seven misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.

A news release from the sheriff's office also said deputies were serving search warrants at the Scottsdale, Ariz. Mayo Clinic due to the belief the rapper was involved in fraud there.

The deputies reported that five pit bull mix puppies were seized from the rapper's home by an animal control unit. They will be taken to a jail and cared for by female inmates.

This is not the first time DMX was suspected of animal cruelty. In August, deputies responding to abuse reports raided his home and seized 12 dogs. Although no evidence of dogfighting was found, some of the dogs had not been fed or watered.

In addition, the sheriff's office found three dog carcasses on the property, one of which looked like it had been burned.

"A guy like this DMX character, with all his money and fame, has no excuse for not providing proper care for his animals," Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Friday.

The drug possession charges came after deputies served the search warrant at 3 a.m. Friday, finding drugs and weapons.

County Attorney Andrew Thomas said the case would be treated like any other alleged animal cruelty, despite DMX's celebrity status.

DMX has a history of legal problems. According to CNN affiliate KPHO, he was arrested on Wednesday for racing on a highway after speed cameras caught him driving 114 mph on a Phoenix-area freeway. The rapper was booked on charges of racing on a highway, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, two counts of endangerment and three counts of criminal speed.

In 1999, an animal cruelty charge was dismissed against the rapper after he accepted responsibility and recorded public service announcements for an animal rights group, CNN reported.

The raid in August came within the same week as former NFL football player Michael Vick pleaded guilty to bankrolling and running a Virginia dogfighting ring.

At the time, the rapper's lawyer said he had been on tour and arranged for a caretaker for his dogs. The lawyer alleged that while the caretaker fed and watered the dogs, he did not protect them from Arizona's summer heat. He also said DMX was upset about the treatment of his dogs, who have been featured in his music videos.

Is Dennis Rodman in rehab?

TMZ is reporting that Dennis Rodman entered a rehab facility this morning, days after he was arrested for felony domestic battery.

Rodman was arrested at 11 pm April 30 at a Century City hotel, and he was released early May 1 on $50,000 bail.

"Last night Dennis and his girlfriend had too much to drink. When they returned to their hotel they started arguing and a minor altercation broke out where Dennis grabbed her by the arm and left a bruise," Rodman's manager Darren Prince told TMZ after the arrest.

Hotel security then called the LAPD.

Prince also said: "his drinking has been escalating in the last six weeks due to a nasty divorce and not seeing his children in over two months."

Alleged victim Gina "Gigi" Peterson told TMZ: "If I had to be the one to go through it to have that be the catalyst [for rehab] ... I'm glad it was me."

However, Peterson, had a temporary restraining order filed against her six weeks ago by her ex-husband and the father of her four kids!

George Peterson from "The Real Housewives of Orange County" stated that his ex-wife had a history of violence toward him and their kids, and also made threats and was in court-ordered psychiatric lockdown.

Gary Dourdan apologizes for arrest

An email CSI star Gary Dourdan sent to his Access Hollywood pal Shaun Robinson, apologizing for his recent arrest for possession of narcotics and dangerous drugs, made its way onto the Internet.

Dourdan was arrested in the early morning hours of April 29 when a Palms Spring police officer found the actor asleep behind the wheel, parked on a California roadside. A search of the car found a cache of drugs, including cocaine, heroin, Ecstasy and several prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia.

"Obviously I certainly wish I hadn't been responsible for so many people getting to the [Coachella music] festival's VIP area," Dourdan wrote, referring to the concert he had attended prior to the arrest. "And the after party, it ran me ragged, but I'm glad pulling over did prevent a DUI. I recommend not driving at all, but a little kip [nap] is always good (on either side of the road LOL)."

Dourdan also said the illegal items found in the car did not belong to him.

"I am blessed that the [arresting] Sgt. realized that the luggage carrying whatever they found was not mine and that my tests have been coming back negative," he added. "I've been happy to cooperate in any way to clear myself and go on with my blessed life."

The actor also apologized to fans, particularly country music star Taylor Swift, who said CSI is a favorite show of hers. Dourdan had planned to present Swift an award at Hollywood Life Magazine's 10th Annual Young Hollywood Awards.

"I am so sorry to all my fans, especially the young ones, like Taylor Swift, who I should've been supporting with my daughter instead of driving tired in the desert,” Dourdan wrote. "I am planning events to get the word out that you don't need a bunch of nasty chemicals to have a good time. Just good friends, family, good music and a good honest spirit full of faith."

Mischa charged with DUI and possession

Mischa Barton was charged with four misdemeanor counts yesterday related to her Decenber arrest. She was pulled over in West Hollywood on Dec. 27 after sheriff's deputies noticed her car straddling two lanes of traffic and failing to use her turn indicator.

According to court papers, the former "O.C." star was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while having a 0.08 percent or higher blood alcohol level, driving without a valid license and possession of 28.5 grams or less of marijuana.

Anthony V. Salerno, Barton's attorney, released a statement that said he was happy his client was only charged with misdemeanor offenses. "The D.A.'s office is to be commended for treating this case the same as it would any other matter; Ms. Barton has received no special treatment," he said.

Barton will be arraigned Thursday in Beverly Hills Superior Court.

Four Paparazzi Arrested

Four paparazzi were arrested in a police crackdown Wednesday. Two of the photogogs were staking out Britney Spears outside of a hair saloon, and the other two were waiting outside of a night club where Lindsay Lohan was reportedly patronizing.

After refusing to disassemble from the sidewalk, the four cameramen were charged with obstructing a public walkway and released with citations. The paparazzi were confused as to why they were chosen to be made an example of in this relatively everyday situation, when the police have failed to take action in the recent and considerably more dangerous celebrities car chases.

TMZ Managing Editor, Harvey Levin told The Associated Press. “We’ve been saying for a long time that law enforcement needs to crack down, that they’ve closed their eyes to a lot of dangerous things happening. The danger is blowing lights, running people off the road. ... This was not one of those situations.”

Nonetheless, at least the police department has finally decided to take a stand in a press situation that, as of late, seems to be escalating out of hand.

Another Hilton Arrested

Paris Hilton’s 18-year-old younger brother Barron was arrested Tuesday morning for driving under the influence. He blew in a BAC at a reading of .14 which is almost twice as much as much as California’s legal limit of .08. However, for those under 21 a BAC of any level is considered legally drunk.

Hilton was also arrested for carrying a fake California driver’s license. He faces a one year license suspension for being under age with a DUI and could, in fact, go to jail. However, first time offenders, and of course children of wealthy parents, often only receive probation. I guess only time will tell if he will follow in the steps of his big sis'and end up behind bars.

She has been charged with assaulting a officer. Lane claims that she had no idea they were cops...yeah sure...
