Natalie Portman May Star in Alien Prequel

The latest celebrity news and gossip is that 29-year-old Natalie Portman may star in the upcoming prequel to Ridley Scott's Alien. If the rumors pan out, then Portman would play a Colonial Marine general in the movie. The other name being talked about for the role is Noomi Rapace, Swedish actress and star of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Portman, known also for being a vegan and for her celebrity fashion style, stars in the upcoming movie Black Swan, which opens December 1. In that movie Portman plays a ballet dancer. The original Alien was considered a horror-suspense movie, and the new prequel is likely to return to that style rather than the action movie style of the sequel, Aliens.

Natalie Portman: Muse for Designer Roy Storch

Up-and-coming star in the fashion industry Roy Storch, a London based designer, told a reporter after a recent show that he would love to design for Natalie Portman. Other stars he mentioned he'd love to dress include celebrity fashion trend setters Charlize Theron and Marion Cotillard. But besides being keen to dress the likes of Portman, Storch says he aims to make sure that any femal wearing one of his creations looks and feels great in them. He told BANG Showbiz, “I want women to feel great in my clothes no matter what their size.”

Portman, star of the recent Black Swan, may have several red carpet occasions to look forward to dressing for. She is reportedly considering the lead role in the upcoming Brothers Grimm: Snow White, an “edgy” remake of the classic tale.

Even more interesting is the broad age difference between the Sean Penn (48) and Natalie Portman (27) -- 21 years apart. Star Magazine has the couple together as early as March 17th at LA's Sunset Tower Hotel's Tower Bar.

What do they have in common beyond acting? Sex? A source is quoted, "She (Natalie) stimulates him (Sean) in ways no other person has, mentally or professionally. There's a lot more there with Natalie than any of the other girls Sean's been with." I mean what will they talk about? Her favorite musical tastes? The friends they have and activities they both do must be an obstacle as well. Natalie is a known as a great actress in her generation and so has Penn, but to throw her into a family situation abruptly will inevitably become a burden to their relationship. Sean will have a heavy price to pay for his divorce, he better hope he stays with Natalie or he can then ask himself if parting with his dedicated wife, family and money was worth it.

Natalie Portman: Regrets living at home with her parents

Natalie Portman regrets moving back home to live with her folks.

The actress is staying with her mum and dad following her rumoured split from musician boyfriend Devendra Banhart, 27.

But Nat, 27, has found the experience a lot more difficult than she anticipated.

‘I’m homeless at the moment so I am residing with my parents,’ she tells The Sun. ‘It’s rough.

'It was cool in the beginning because I get good meals and my laundry done but it turns into trouble.’

Natalie Portman is having "trouble" living at home with her parents again.
The 27-year-old actress - who recently moved back home - admits there are some aspects of returning to her childhood house that are causing issues.

She is quoted as saying: "I'm homeless at the moment so I am residing with my parents. It's rough. It was cool in the beginning because I got good meals and my laundry done but it turns into trouble."


It was recently revealed Natalie and boyfriend Devendra Banhart are no longer dating.

A source close to the folk singer said: "Natalie and Devendra have broken up. They will remain friends but need some space and time away."

In April, Natalie, 27, and the bearded musician, who is also 27, were photographed kissing and holding hands as they strolled through the West Village wearing matching black coats and sunglasses.

Natalie - who has previously been romantically linked to a host of actors including Jake Gyllenhaal, Zach Braff and Gael Garcia Bernal - recently vowed to never marry.

She explained: "I'm into monogamy. But I'm not really into marriage. I sort of hate the legal aspect of it. What does the state have to do with it?"

Newly single Natalie Portman was the guest of honour this week as she joined the celebs keeping an eye on next year's designs at Paris Fashion Week.

Weeks after splitting from her folk rocker beau Devendra Banhart, the Jerusalem-born beauty jetted over the Pond for a front-row seat at Giambattista Valli's impressive show. Showcasing romantic, feminine styles, the designs embraced the hourglass figure of the 1950s, with fit'n' flare dresses and high stilettos.

Highlight of the show, which also saw stylish English rose Emma Watson in the audience, was an ivory tulle wedding dress, overflowing with sculptured blooms, which brought a huge round of applause from the delighted crowd.

Over at Valentino, Vicky Cristina Barcelona star Rebecca Hall settled down for what is speculated to be designer Alessandra Facchinetti's last showing for the iconic label.

Despite the reports, the Italian sent a spectacular collection down the catwalk, with models covered in jewels both on their bodies and their clothes. Opulence flowed from the soft, flowing outfits, putting aside any thought of credit crunch. And of course, the Valentino red was very much on show.

Natalie Portman Did Not Strip Completly Naked

Natalie Portman did not strip completely naked for new movie 'Goya's Ghosts'.

The Hollywood beauty was believed to have stripped off for the graphic torture scenes in the movie - in which she plays the muse of painter Francisco Goya who is accused of heresy during the Spanish Inquisition - but she has now revealed she used a body double for some scenes.

Natalie said: "There's a long shot of a nude woman, but it's not me. You do see some parts of me unclothed, but if they end up on websites making it look like I'm nude, I'm going to be really, really angry."

The 26-year-old actress - who played a pole dancer in 'Closer' - has also denied she accepted the controversial role to rid herself of her squeaky-clean image.

She added: "I didn't do the scene in order to prove something. I just want to get on with my life and do what feels right."

Natalie Portman is endorsing "life-changing" micro-loans for the world's poorest women.

The 'V for Vendetta' actress has been working with FINCA International, an organisation which gives small loans to impoverished people in developing countries, and is fully behind the project.

Natalie, 25, told US TV show 'This Week': "I have met mothers younger than I am who were forced to work in poor conditions for low pay because that was the only job they could get.

"Getting this loan enables them to start their own business out of their own house and be with their children. It changes the whole system.

"If a woman can't tell her child, 'I can feed you tomorrow, I can pay for your school', then what happens? What do they do? What do they choose?

"It's really trying to reach the poorest of the poor and offering banking services to them."
