Lily Allen Hospitalized with Septicemia

In breaking celebrity news, singer Lily Allen, who just recently experienced the heartbreak of a second miscarriage, was rushed to the hospital over the weekend with a condition called septicemia, also known as blood poisoning. The ailment is potentially life threatening. Her publicist told the U.K.’s Daily Mail that she is “responding well” to treatment.

Allen suffered a miscarriage last week. She was carrying a baby boy whose father is Sam Cooper, and the loss came almost three years after a miscarriage that occurred during her relationship with musician Ed Simons. Allen plans to venture into the fashion industry by opening a vintage clothing shop with her sister Sarah. There is no word on whether her recent health problems have affected that project, a London boutique called Lucy in Disguise.

British singer Lily Allen recently told British Elle magazine that she was not confident when she recently shot an ad campaign with Chanel, one of the world's top fashion industry labels. Her ad campaign was in support of Chanel's handbag collection, and she says her nervousness came from not looking like a model.

Allen, 25, is expecting a child with boyfriend Sam Cooper, and she said she was convinced that Karl Lagerfeld had made a mistake when he called her about doing the campaign for the top fashion designer. "I'm not a model so a Chanel shoot is an intimidating process because I'm very aware that I don't look like Lara Stone or Kate Moss."

Lily Allen Might Retire from Music

British pop singer Lily Allen has decided to take some time off from music, possibly permanently, because of piracy issues that have been negatively affecting the music business. On her anti-piracy blog, Allen confirmed that she has no plans to tour or make another record after latest album It's Not Me, It's You. She says, "I do however remain a fan of new music, so this is not some selfish crusade. The days of me making money from recording music has been and gone as far as I'm concerned, so I don't (at this point) stand to profit from legislation." The singer has instead taken on a new endeavor, starring in the West End production of Neil Labute's play, Reasons To Be Pretty.

Lily Allen and Liam Gallagher Get a Little More Than Tipsy

Liam Gallagher and Lily Allen don’t need a hopping party to have a good time. Their 11hr flight to Japan was more than enough.

The Oasis front man, who had been drinking champagne in the Upper Class lounge at London’s Heathrow airport before their Virgin Atlantic flight last Wednesday. The 2 singers spent most of their time on board drinking together. Their entourage even had to warn the crew members ahead of time because they knew there was no stopping them after they already started, “keep those two apart”.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “They did not care about the other passengers. They were in a world of their own. They were already well-oiled by the time they came on board. There is obviously a different set of rules for celebrities.”

It’s no surprise that the airline crew had to tell the drinking duo to calm down after they relentlessly continued to swear.

After the flight, the pop star pair continued their fun as they reached Japan where Oasis and Lily were performing at the Fuji Rocks festival.

Liam stated on his Twitter page that the trip had been a good one, “Just landed in Tokyo. That flight flew by.”

Lily definitely must have agreed because on her Twitter she exclaimed, “At Lost in Transation hotel in tokyo. Had an extraordinary amount of fun the past few days, and now ive got 2 weeks off. EPIC (sic).”

Liam, 36, has a history of drunken behavior on planes.In 1998, he was banned from Cathay Pacific airlines for life after passengers on a Hong Kong to Perth flight complained about his drunken and offensive behavior. Apparently he would smoke, swear, and throw objects at the staff.Liam, who had been threatened by the captain that he would be arrested upon landing, later said that didn’t do anything and that we only wanted “a scone”.

Ricky Wilson, singer for The Kaiser Chiefs, had quite a shock when he opened his cell phone and saw Allen's raunchy camera-phone photo, OK! reports. Minutes later, she texted, "Sorry -- Wrong Ricky!" Hmm, wonder which Ricky was suppose to receive that message?

Chris Moyles of Great Britain's Radio 1 said that Wilson was just confused by the message.

"Ricky goes to me: 'I got this weird text the other day from Lily Allen of her topless. And I'm looking at it going 'Why has she sent me that?'" Moyles explained. A minute later, Wilson received a follow-up text from Allen apologizing for the text.

Allen confirmed with the radio host that she did have a text message mix-up. "That was really embarrassing... I was completely topless," she told Moyles.

If you're going to send a raunchy text message, make sure it goes to the right person. Just ask Vanessa Hudgens.

Lily Allen admits remarks made to her weight hurt her deeply

Lily Allen admits negative comments about her weight and looks made her deeply unhappy.

The singer, 23, had to deal with cruel remarks about her appearance when she hit the limelight.

‘I never thought I was a supermodel – but didn’t think I was quite as unattractive as people said,’ she tells The Observer Music Monthly.

‘There were times I was so depressed and sad I couldn’t take any more of it.’

Lily vented these feelings on her blog in May 2007, calling herself ‘fat, ugly and shitter than Winehouse.’

She has also revealed how she's been tempted to quit music altogether.

‘Sometimes I feel like I’ve really had enough,’ she says. ‘I’m not someone who eats, lives and breathes music.’

Lily will release her hotly anticipated second album It's Not Me, It's You in February 2009.

Lily Allen and Elton John co-hosted the GQ Men of the Year Awards last night and they seemed to be at odds for most of the evening. Elton seemed to want nothing to do with Lily's typical tipsy ways, because because at one point during the evening Lily was introducing a "very special point in the evening," John asked: "What, you are going to have another drink?" and Lily, the spit-fire that she is, retorted with a comment about his age, saying "F--- off Elton, I'm 40 years younger than you. I have my whole life ahead of me."

The singer was visiting ex-boyfriend Ed Simons, 38, when she accidentally flashed her nipple.

She made the boob after jumping out of her car to enter his London home.

But Lily, 22, who split from the Chemical Brothers star last week, wasn't too embarrassed.

Instead, she gave paps a cheeky grin as she hurried inside.

British singer Lily Allen has been photographed in less than flattering poses lately - and she recently wrote a MySpace blog post (coped and pasted verbatim), ranting about the paparazzi's work and invasion of her privacy.

"For the record I was not thrown off anybodys yacht in Cannes , occasionally I drink wine with lunch and yes i swim topless , this in my book is not embarrasing behaviour," she wrote. "I'm 23 years old it's not my fault if photographers follow me everywhere and need a story to print with their pointless pictures ."

" I wish digital cameras hadn't been invented ," she continued. "On the other hand digital pictures are easier to retouch , so i shouln't complain ."

Although Allen does have a point, the paparazzi may not find her as interesting of a subject if she kept her clothes on!

Lily Allen and boyfriend Ed Simons of The Chemical Brothers got some crushing news when the returned from vacation. It has been confirmed that Allen has suffered a miscarriage. The couple will make no further comments about the situation and asks the media to "please respect their privacy during this difficult time".

Lily Allen Thinks Paris Hilton Is "Hideous" and "Amazing"

Lily Allen is both disgusted and impressed by the 26-year-old heiress - who recently spent 23 days in jail for driving with a suspended licence - at the same time.

She told Britain's Star magazine: "Paris is hideous, but I think she's amazing at the same time. I love her."

Lily also revealed she is a big fan of 'The Simple Life', the US TV show Paris stars in with her close friend Nicole Richie.

The show sees the two friends take on a series of different jobs, including being farm hands, cleaners and fast food workers.

Lily said: "I think 'The Simple Life' is genius. I can never figure out if Paris plays up for it or not."

Lily Allen has hailed as Kate Moss a heroine, after the supermodel protected her during a fight.

The Smile singer was attacked by a gang of girls after being wrongly accused of sleeping with a one of the group's boyfriend at English music festival Glastonbury.

Allen says, "They beat me up. They stabbed me in the ear with a beer can and cut my eye open and I had two black eyes."

"I couldn't get into those tiny hot pants if I tried, and if I did I'd look ridiculous. The hard thing is to get everybody of every size to look fantastic. That's the real deal. Fashion should be a laugh and be for everybody. My dresses will suit anyone, whether they're tall or small, or fat or thin."

She says, "I don't like that thought-about thing - the hair, the nails, the tan, the different handbag to go with every outfit.

"People of my generation have become skeptical about it. We've had it shoved in our faces, and because of all these reality TV shows. we've seen how it all works behind the scenes. Rather than think, 'She must be cool because she is a magazine, we don't buy into it."
