Blige managed to sell 60,000 bottles of her debut fragrance, “My Life” within six hours after it went on sale on HSN. Said Blige, “Choosing a fragrance should be determined by how you're dressed. If you're going to black-tie event, you might want something a little stronger, sexier - but you would necessarily wear that scent to the office.”

Blige revealed that she has always loved fragrance, but she felt that many of the fragrances on the market were too strong for her. Thus she was inspired to create My Life as a way of sharing one of her great loves other than music.

Khloe Kardashian to get Reality Show

The latest celebrity gossip about Khloe Kardashian is that the 26-year-old socialite and new husband L.A. Laker Lamar Odom will soon begin working on a “Newlyweds” type reality show. The show will begin shooting in the spring, and a source says it will have a similar vibe to Bravo’s “housewife” series “Bethenny Getting Married.”

But that’s not all you’ll be seeing of the reality-TV Kardashian clan. “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” which will debut January 23, won’t be featuring Kourtney’s son Mason. Rumor has it that dad Scott Disick demanded $5,000 per episode for the 12-month-old and didn’t get it, so little Mason won’t be on the show.

Rihanna is Single Again

The latest celebrity news and gossip about singer Rihanna is that she has ended her relationship with baseball player Matt Kemp, whom she has been with for about a year. A source told People magazine that she “considers herself single.”

While it’s good news for the guys, no doubt the competition for Rihanna’s attention will be fierce. The same source says, “She never has a problem finding guys.” Kemp plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and was the singer’s first serious relationship since her break-up with Chris Brown in 2009 following an incident of domestic violence.

Neither a rep for Rihanna nor for Kemp will confirm whether the two have parted ways. The singer is currently vacationing with her family in Barbados.

It’s hard to imagine red carpet favorite Carey Mulligan feeling self-conscious, but the Oscar-nominated star says she used to deprive herself when she experienced “a phase of not being comfortable with myself.” Known for her Audrey Hepburn-like fashion style, Mulligan says, “It was not fun.”

Mulligan says the turning point was when she saw a dancing scene in the movie An Education and discovered how visible her spine was. Now the fashion industry darling says that she eats what she wants “within reason.” She now says that she is far more comfortable with herself and the Hollywood scene, and if her new movie Never Let Me Go is nominated for an Oscar, she plans to have a drink and relax rather than be uptight about it.

The odyssey started out when Delta Flight 30 had to make an emergency landing in New York after engine problems. However, in true celebrity style, DiCaprio signed autographs for the flight crew and passengers after the ordeal was over.

After arriving in Russia, DiCaprio joined heads of government for the first ever summit for saving tigers. There, he donated $1 million to the World Wildlife Fund’s urgent tiger conservation efforts. Once he’s back stateside, DiCaprio plans to produce and star in a new movie on the John F. Kennedy assassination. He will play FBI informant Jack Van Laningham, who said he witnessed a confession to the assassination by a Mafioso.

Taylor Momsen to be on Hiatus from Gossip Girl

Actress Taylor Momsen will be largely absent from the second half of the current series Gossip Girl. This bit of celebrity news and gossip comes courtesy of Deadline.com. Momsen, who plays Jenny Humphrey, will be on “indefinite hiatus” after the November 29 episode of the show. The definition of “indefinite hiatus” here is an absence of at least four episodes starting with the December 6 mid-season finale.

The 17-year-old actress, who appears to enjoy creating controversy, was apparently cut for creative reasons. In the November-December issue of Revolver, the television and fashion star (who is the “face” of Madonna’s “Material Girl” clothing line) laments that she didn’t have a “real life” after being signed with Ford Modeling at age 2 and working constantly ever since.

Lindsay Lohan will not Appear in Inferno

In today’s celebrity news and gossip, Lindsay Lohan will no longer be playing the famous porn actress Linda Lovelace in the biographical movie Inferno, according to director Matthew Wilder. Wilder allegedly told E!, “We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan,” saying that the decision was a business rather than a personal decision. He stated that the “impossibility of insuring her” was one of the reasons the deal could not go forward.

As for Lohan, she contends that she was not fired from the picture, but rather quit. According to Deadline Hollywood, actress Malin Akerman, from “Watchmen” and “The Heartbreak Kid” has been chosen to replace Lohan in the movie. Lohan is currently trying to address her addiction and legal problems in California.
