Eva Longoria Divorce News Saddens Fans

After denying trouble in her three-year marriage to Tony Parker, Eva Longoria confirmed Wednesday that she indeed is divorcing the NBA star. Though the divorce petition cited irreconcilable differences, the latest celebrity gossip surrounds Erin Barry, wife of Parker’s former teammate Brent Barry. Erin and Parker apparently engaged in massive text messaging, and it was recently made public that the Barrys are divorcing too.

Parker, nonetheless, led his team to victory Wednesday night over the Chicago Bulls, though he did admit it was “a difficult time right now for me and Eva.” Though Longoria, 35, said through her publicist that Parker cheated on her earlier in the marriage and that she was devastated, she is determined to remain strong.

Tony Parker's Calls Married Life "Weird"

Eva Longoria's new husband Tony Parker has confessed he finds married life "weird".

The basketball star, who married the 'Desperate Housewives' beauty in Paris 10 days ago (07.07.07), admits he still hasn't got used to having a wedding ring on his finger.

Tony said yesterday (17.07.07): "It's weird, it's weird. I don't wear rings.

"The only ring that I was wearing is our NBA championship rings, but you only wear that maybe two times, three times maybe. So I have to get used to it."

The 25-year-old San Antonio Spurs player is already convinced he will lose his ring on the basketball court during a game.

He said: "A lot of my teammates told me they lost it like five or six times. So I'm going to try to lose it only one or two times."

Eva Longoria's Pregnancy Ban

Newlywed Eva Longoria has been banned from having children by her 'Desperate Housewives' boss.

The show's creator Marc Cherry told the couple during his wedding speech that Eva - who married basketball star Tony Parker in Paris on Saturday (07.07.07) - can't get pregnant for at least a year because it hasn't been written into her character Gabrielle Solis' storyline .

Eva insists she is "fine" with the pregnancy ban and is looking forward to spending time alone with her new husband.

She told America's OK! magazine: "We're fine with that. We want to spend some time with each other, even though we want kids very much."

The couple opted for a traditional Roman Catholic wedding at Paris' Saint Germain l'Auxerrois church.

Eva, who was born to Mexican-American parents, was keen to pay tribute to her Mexican roots during the ceremony.

Reverend Dominic Schubert, who officiated proceedings, revealed: "We added the Mexican traditions, with the lazo (large rosary) and the dimes, the Bible readings and the lighting of the unity candle."

Lepaparazzi News Update: Tony Parker and Eva Langoria's Wedding Day

Image: Source

(CBS/AP) The sun smiled on Tony Parker and Eva Longoria's wedding day, breaking through after days of gray Paris skies. Their VIP guests, though, were concealed by big black umbrellas.

Glamour and security went hand-in-hand as the NBA champion and star of "Desperate Housewives" exchanged vows Saturday in a church across from the Louvre Museum.

The Roman Catholic ceremony at the Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois Church — frequented by French royalty in centuries past — was stage two in a weekend wedding extravaganza.

First, the mayor of Paris pronounced Parker, 25, and Longoria, 32, husband and wife in a civil ceremony Friday. Then, a priest married them Saturday afternoon. Following that: an exclusive bash at a storied French chateau.

Longoria wore a silk wool and silk gazar scoop-back mermaid gown embroidered with silver metallic. The gown, which had a 5-foot-long train, was designed by Angel Sanchez, a spokeswoman for the designer said.

French menswear label De Fursac, which Parker models for, provided the groom's suit.

Stars of all stripes — actors, athletes, musicians — joined the couple for their nuptials.

Longoria's fellow "Housewives" garnered the most attention from several hundred mostly French fans outside the church, who booed bodyguards for blocking their view.

Teri Hatcher, in a silky blue gown, came with her 9-year-old daughter Emerson Rose. Felicity Huffman, in a beige dress with ruffled v-neck collar, brought husband William H. Macy. Nicolette Sheridan wore a strapless pink gown. Marcia Cross, who recently gave birth to twins, was not expected to attend.

Also attending were singer Sheryl Crow and the head coach for the San Antonio Spurs, Greg Popovich. Bodyguards used huge black umbrellas to shield guests from view. Police also erected 10-foot-high wooden panels in front of the church, and the bride and groom kept well out of sight.

Later, the couple headed to the 17th century Vaux-le-Vicomte chateau 35 miles southeast of Paris, with its marble-floored ballroom, chandelier-studded dining room and precisely pruned gardens.

For the civil ceremony, Parker, who was born in Belgium and grew up in France, asked Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe to officiate. Parker's friends translated when Delanoe gave a speech calling the basketball star a model in the fight against racism.

"It was touching, moving, very warm and at the same time very relaxed," Delanoe said on RTL radio Saturday. And romantic, he added: "They kiss all the time."

French law requires a civil ceremony even when couples marry in a church.

Saturday started gray but the skies cleared by the time the wedding guests arrived at the church. Fans stood through drizzle and shine.

"I love the series, and I came out today for the chance to see Eva, the 'American in Paris,"' said Lola Michot, a 16-year-old high school student from the eastern French city of Besancon.

The couple and their entourage gave very few details about the wedding.

Parker said the cake was made in France but nothing more. The superstitious Parker supposedly chose Saturday — 7/7/07 — as a lucky day.

Longoria plays crafty Gabrielle Solis in "Desperate Housewives." She met Parker, voted the most valuable player of the NBA Finals last month after the Spurs won their fourth title in nine seasons, after a game in November 2004. They announced their engagement last November.

Longoria divorced Tyler Christopher, an actor on the long-running ABC soap opera "General Hospital," in 2004, after two years of marriage. Parker's marriage to Longoria is his first.

"Eva arranged all the wedding details. But Tony has had the idea of having a bachelor party in St. Tropez for a very long time. He first started talking about it last fall."

Eva Longoria Takes Complete Charge Of Wedding

Eva Longoria is taking complete control of her upcoming wedding to basketball star fiance Tony Parker- the actress is organizing nearly everything herself.

French sportsman and rapper Parker admits he's perfectly happy letting Longoria arrange the nuptials, which take place on 7 July (07) in a ceremony held at a stately home just outside Paris.

He says, "She's doing everything, I have to be honest. I'm doing nothing for the wedding. I'm just going to show up and say yes.

"I only chose the music and the food. That's it, that's all I did."

Eva Longoria's $2 Million OK! Magazine Deal

Eva Longoria will receive more than $2 million from OK! magazine for exclusive coverage of her wedding, it has been reported.

The 'Desperate Housewives' actress, who is set to marry basketball star Tony Parker in a French castle in July 7, was also approached by America's People magazine but decided to give its rival the rights.

OK! editor-in-chief Sara Ivens said: "These were obviously highly coveted photos, and we were thrilled to negotiate the exclusive rights. Covering great moments with the celebrities that we love is what the magazine's all about."

People magazine is said to be incensed about missing out on the much sought-after deal.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "People editors broke the story of their wedding and were working hard with Eva's reps to secure the picture rights. They were upset about losing the photos."

People magazine's coverage of the couple's reported break-up did not influence Eva's decision, it has been claimed.

Another source said: "It was entirely a matter of money, straight up to the final negotiation. Everyone wanted the photos - but everyone knows OK! will pay a lot for them."

People paid $4.1 million for the first photographs of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Shiloh.

Eva Longoria's Friends Doesn't Like Tony Parker

Tony Parker is known as much for his on-court exploits as he is for his romance with Hollywood A-lister Eva Longoria. Sadly, he's known (and endlessly mocked) for being the most whipped NBA player since Doug Christie.

With the famous couple's wedding less than a month away, there are rumblings that Eva may not necessarily be the one wearing the pants in the relationship. At least not all of the time.

Meanwhile, some of Longoria's pals are worried about Parker. "He is just not gracious," one of them said. "He puts himself ahead of her. He always orders at restaurants before her and is rude to waiters. We just don't have a good feeling about him."

The French-born San Antonio Spurs player said it would be difficult to keep their privacy at the ceremony, which is expected to be attended by Eva's 'Desperate Housewives' co-stars along with Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jamie Foxx and Lionel Richie.

He said: "It will be difficult to avoid the paparazzi."

Eva Longoria's Dog Will Follow Her Down The Aisle

Eva has been spotted in the city while shopping with her niece at Target store.

Eva Longoria's beloved white Maltese dog will follow the bride and remain at heel at the altar while the couple exchange their vows in France this summer.

"Jinxie is getting a special jewel-encrusted designer collar made for the big day. It will be inscribed with the lucky wedding date - 7/7/07."

The Texan beauty loves lavishing her pet with luxury pampering, spending an astonishing $500 a month on grooming, pedicures and teeth cleaning.

The San Antonio Spurs player surprised Eva last December by flying to her Los Angeles home unannounced and getting down on one keen to pop the question.

Eva said the way Tony proposed was "perfect, personal and sweet".

The 32-year-old is reportedly determined to not to let the cost of the nuptials spiral out of control and has enlisted the services of celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss to make sure everything for the big day is done within a budget.

Eva reportedly told Weiss: "We are building a house right now in San Antonio, so we just can't go over budget."

Tony and Eva To Get Hitched on 7/7/07

Desperate Housewives star and San Antonio Spurs guard (who got engaged in November after a rocky two-year romance) will wed on July 7, 2007, at Château de Chantilly, a fairy-tale-like castle north of Paris.

According to a source, "Tony is extremely superstitious and thinks that 07-07-07 is the day most lucky to get married on."

Longoria, 31, will be traveling to France in February with event planner Mindy Weiss to finalize details for the reception, including ordering the flowers, food and cake. And, since Parker, 24, has family in France, the groom-to-be's mother, Pamela, will be nearby to lend a helping hand.

"Tony wants her to feel that it's her day as well as his and Eva's," says a source.

And, to top if off, designer Monique Lhuillier will create Longoria's dress for the big day, a source says.
