Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo Announce Split

For months singer Nick Lachey and his long-time girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo have denying breakup rumors, but finally they have come clean and have announced their split. "They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another," a rep for Minnillo told People.

The couple have been dating since 2006, only a year after Lachey's divorce from Jessica Simpson. Sounds like a rebound relationship to me, don't ya think? A source told Us Magazine that Minnillo and Lachey "still care about each other very much. This is what's best for both of them."

Staying in Los Angeles for only a few short days following a recent trip to Salt Lake City, Vanessa Minnillo was once again spotted jetting out of LAX Airport on Saturday (June 28).

With her faithful pup Wookie in her arms, the former Miss Teen USA endured the painstaking task of going through check-in and security before finding her terminal and boarding the plane.

Less than a week ago, Vanessa, 27, took a trip to Utah to visit boyfriend Nick Lachey - where the two fit in a little pool time at his upscale hotel. Lachey, 34, has been situated there while he works on the reality show “High School Musical: Get in the Picture”.

Talking about his latest work, Nick told press: “Going into this project, I really wanted to be a little bit of a mentor to them. Obviously these kids are all here eyes wide open. It’s a great opportunity for them and I just try to tell them to relax and have fun, be themselves. I think they’re all talented.”

Meanwhile, Vanessa is currently looking forward to the August 29th release of her new film, “Disaster Movie”, in which she stars alongside Kim Kardashian and Carmen Electra.

Nick Lachey to host HSM reality show

Nick Lachey, the thirty-four-year-old former 98 degrees member, is set to host ABC’s upcoming reality show “High School Musical: Summer Session.”

The program, which is based loosely on the Disney Channel Movie series that stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale, begins Sunday July 20th and runs until mid-September. The contestants are going to range from 16-22 and open casting calls will take place in the coming weeks.

The winner will “receive the opportunity of a lifetime, becoming a part of ‘High School Musical’ history.” Whatever that means.

Lachey & Minnillo Are Heroes To Old Neighbour

Pop star Nick Lachey and his girlfriend have turned a problem neighbour into a new best friend after saving his life.

The singer and Vanessa Minnillo jumped into action when an elderly man living in their New York apartment block collapsed as he stepped out of an elevator.

Minnillo called the emergency services while her boyfriend grabbed the old guy's keys and dashed to get his angina medicine.

The couple then stayed with the man until paramedics arrived and took him to hospital, according to the National Enquirer.

Ironically, the man was among those who opposed Lachey and Minnillo's move into the condo, citing worries about the paparazzi who follow the couple everywhere.

Vanessa Minnillo is desperately trying to persuade Nick Lachey to star in a reality TV show with her, it has been claimed.

The TV presenter - who is said to be engaged to the former 98 degrees singer - wants her own TV show but producers have told her she must get Nick to agree to co-star before they give the project the go-ahead.

However, Nick, 33, insists he isn't prepared to make his private life public again, like he did when he starred with ex-wife Jessica Simpson in their MTV reality show 'Newlyweds'.

A source said: "Vanessa's been trying to get Nick to change his mind for months because she really needs the show to get her career off the ground - but he isn't budging.

"Nick told me, 'God if I learned anything, I learned that if you want to screw up a perfectly good relationship, just let cameras follow you around 24/7. No way I'm going down that road again.' "

Vanessa, 26, has repeatedly denied she is planning her own reality show, but sources have revealed she has already pitched the idea to both E! and MTV.

Nick Lachey Lawyers Threaten Magazines Over Sex Photos

Lawyers for Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have warned American magazines not to publish explicit photos of the couple having sex - or face the legal consequences.

The current issue of American magazine Life & Style contains steamy pictures of Lachey and Minnillo cavorting in a jacuzzi at a private Mexican resort.

According to TMZ, further photos graphically show the pair engaging in sexual activity.

Hollywood attorney Marty Singer, who represents the couple, claims the "outrageous and malicious" photographer who snapped the pictures did so illegally.

Singer says, "The photos that were taken of our clients by a Mexican photographer violated Mexican law and were a clear invasion of privacy, and we have threatened to take legal action against third parties who publish the photos."

Nick Lachey and new partner Vanessa Minnillo are moving in together, it has been reported.

Pretty Vanessa is said to be moving from New York to Los Angeles to join Nick in his Beverly Hills home.

The 26-year-old brunette has set her sights on pursuing a career as an actress, and hopes a move to Los Angeles will open some doors for her in Hollywood.

Vanessa, a former MTV presenter, currently works as the New York correspondent for US TV show 'Entertainment Tonight'.

Asked if she's "totally in love right now," Simpson grins and says, "I didn't say yes."

If she's taking pains to keep her love life low-profile, it's because of the tabloid firestorm set off by her split from Lachey after they'd revealed the inner workings of their marriage on Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica.

"I let people in on who I am and how I react to my husband," Simpson says. "That's a big deal. Celebrities don't do that. So I think they brought me down just because I stopped talking and because I have not spoken – and will not speak – about my divorce. And I think people feel like I owe them my reality right now."

She will say, though, that she thought there was hope for her marriage up until a few days before she and Lachey announced their split. So what changed? "I watched The Notebook on a plane home to Waco to be with my grandparents," she says. "It's a great love story."

The movie itself, she says, was "not what sealed it. I just figured out the statement. It was about that moment of desperation. I needed to breathe."

Jessica Simpson's ex-husband Nick Lachey has proposed to his girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, according to press reports in the US. If this is true, then I'm happy for them!

The engagement comes just over a year after Lachey, 33, and Simpson, 26, announced they were divorcing.

A source tells American publication the National Enquirer, "They're moving forward with plans for an April 2007 wedding.

"Since they both love Baja, Mexico, it will probably happen south of the border, where they first fell in love."

The couple were first photographed together on a romantic holiday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico last June.

Nick Lachey is stepping up to the plate to become a part-owner of the Tacoma Rainiers franchise baseball team in Washington State. Well at least he found someone to share his love for sports with (Vanessa.)

The team is an affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, and realises the former 98 Degrees singer's longterm ambition to become involved with sport in a business capacity.

He says, "It had always been a dream of mine to be involved in team sports in general, especially on a local level."

The What's Left Of Me star is a self-described "huge baseball fan" who grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio where the games is "kind of a religion".

The 33-year-old, who will be practising with the team as part of his new duties, adds, "That's the biggest perk! Sports is, outside of entertainment, my passion."

"Clearly I'm not going to be playing (professional sports) for anybody in my lifetime, so to be involved in the ownership level is the next best thing."

Apparently, Nick Lachey is a fan of Britney Spears and is willing to tour with her when she comes out with a banging album. Since, Nick Lachey knows all about public break-ups, I'm sure they will get along well.
