Casey Aldridge, the father of Jamie Lynn Spears’s 10-month-old daughter Maddie, was hospitalized in Jackson, Mississippi after a car crash early Sunday morning. We're hearing he was coming back from a fishing trip BUT ALSO more specifically, that he was coming back from going crabbing after a bachelor party.

Reports say he may not have been completely sober after deciding to leave the bachelor party to go catch some crabs. The truck he was driving crashed and flipped on a Louisiana highway, ejecting Aldridge and two of his four passengers.

Perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to say he was drunk driving. Aldridge, 19, was charged with a misdemeanor count of careless operation of a motor vehicle. Police reportedly had to wait more than four hours after the crash to speak to him, due to his hospitalization, but a trooper told E! that they had no reason to suspect that alcohol was a factor in the accident.

An unidentified family member said he suffered mild brain trauma and a "skull fracture around his hairline" that will require several days of hospitalization in the intensive-care unit at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, where he has been transferred.

Britney Spears' father has branded her ex-manager a "dangerous predator".

Jamie Spears made the comments while giving his testimony at a Los Angeles court on Monday (23.02.09), where he was attempting to maintain a restraining order which keeps Sam Lutfi away from Britney.

Jamie - who is co-conservator of Britney's personal and professional affairs - said: "When Lutfi was in so-called control, she'd lost everything - her kids and career. I believe he's a predator, I believe he's very dangerous to her and causes her a lot of anguish and disbelief. We've asked him to go away before, and now he's coming back. We just want the man to go away. Just leave us alone."

Jamie also insists he will do everything in his power to keep Britney's ex-boyfriend paparazzo Adnan Ghalib away from the 27-year-old singer.
The concerned parent - who now runs every aspect of Britney's life, including monitoring her phone calls - also claims the pop star's security team recently confiscated a pre-paid phone which was given to her by Sam and Adnan.

In court papers, Sam denies he has been harassing Britney.

He claims the singer has been contacting him via text message, even though she is forbidden to do so by a court order.

The former manager admits he has passed messages to Britney via her hairdresser, but insists they were not harmful.

However, Jamie claims he has received several threatening messages from someone known as 'citygalin310' and is adamant they are from Sam.
The hearing will resume on Wednesday (25.02.09).

Teenage mom Jamie Lynn Spears is heartbroken by allegations that Casey Aldridge has been cheating on her with an older woman.

The singer gave birth to their daughter Maddie Briann on 19 June, shortly after her fiancé proposed.

But 28-year-old Kelli Dawson claims she was having an affair with Casey, 19, throughout Jamie's pregnancy.

‘I see him all the time, at least once a week,’ Kelli says.

‘We were both really attracted to each other. He totally instigated it and pursued me. His friends would tell me that he liked me, that he thought I was pretty.’

Kelli says they stopped sleeping together only in the last couple of months of 17-year-old Jamie Lynn's pregnancy.

‘It just didn’t feel right,’ she tells In Touch.

‘He had to deal with the baby coming, and it had to stop. But even after we stopped having sex, we would still kiss occasionally.’

On her pregnancy: "They'd told me it would be an eight- to 12-hour labor, and I was ready to have the baby in three to four hours. I had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed."

On the delivery: "Once I got in there, my doctor was just so calm and so good it was not bad at all. I was just talking to Casey. And you know what's so weird? I was asking him if he was okay. He was like, 'Yeah.' We were both so excited."

On her new daughter: "She is very good. She'll feed every two or three hours. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, I'll feed her and she goes right back to sleep. There's no screaming and crying. We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my bath. We have a routine, and I love routines. I've worked one out with her, and we're happy going about our little life."

Spears covered many topics in her first interview as a mom, from her first weeks of motherhood to how she and her fiancé Casey Aldridge came up with their daughter’s name.

“Maddie is a name that Casey thought of, and I really liked it,” Spears told OK! “Briann was because, a week and a half before she was born, one of Casey’s cousins, who he was really close with, passed. He was in a car accident. His name was Brian. She’s also named after my older brother, Bryan Spears. We just added another ‘N’ to it and made her Maddie Briann,” Spears told the mag.

Although Spears says she will support her daughter if she’s bitten by the show-biz bug, Spears says she has some other dreams for Maddie. “I hope she has good friends, finds a hobby that she loves and is really sure of herself and knows exactly what she wants to do. And I want to better myself, so that I can make her life better.”

Spears’ mom Lynne has been on hand for much of her younger daughter’s pregnancy, and has been helping out since Maddie’s birth. She talked to OK! as well, and said that she thinks Jamie Lynn is going to be a very good mom. “She’s warm and nurturing. And the most fun time will be when she’s the soccer mom, the carpool mom. That was the most fun I had as a mother,” she told the magazine.

Jamie Lynn Spears and her fiancé Casey Aldridge just welcomed daughter Maddie Briann yesterday, but already there are rumors of a possible baby photo bidding war.

A source told the National Ledger last week: "Casey wants to marry Jamie Lynn before the baby is born so he can have some control over the rights to the baby's first photos that will be sold. He wants to be in on any money deals that are made by Jamie Lynn and her mom."

According to reports, Spears' mother, Lynne, is working on brokering a deal for exclusive rights to the first pictures of the newborn. One entertainment blog has suggested the photos are worth at least seven figures.

Possible bidders have not been disclosed, but the former star of Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101" revealed her pregnancy to OK! magazine and confirmed the baby's birth to People.

Meanwhile, OK! has also officially announced that Spears did not have a C-section as previously reported, but rather gave birth naturally and had no complications. Maddie Briann weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. at her 9:33 a.m. birth on June 20.

Friends and family members of the 17-year-old have been given the new mom their congratulations and support

"She's awfully young to be a momma," said Margie Busby, a distant cousin of Spears. "But that's what they make [grandmothers] for. They have to help. That's the way it is with our circle of friends."

Jamie Lynn Spears has given birth to a baby girl, according to People.com. The Web site is also reporting that the child, born at 9:30 a.m. Central time on Thursday, is named Maddie Briann.

The National Enquirer reported that Maddie was 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and was born in a hospital in Mississippi, not far from Jamie Lynn's Kentwood, La., home.

Spears, the 17-year-old little sister of pop star Britney Spears, has been living in Kentwood since December, retreating to her hometown shortly after announcing her pregnancy.

Spears and Casey Aldridge, the father of the baby, got engaged in March but have delayed their wedding until after the birth of their child.

News last fall that the then-16-year-old star of Nickelodeon's “Zoey 101” was expecting rocked a celebrity tabloid world already dealing with the exploits of Britney.

Jamie Lynn confessed the pregnancy to OK! magazine and said of her and Aldrige's reaction: “It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected. I was in complete and total shock and so was he.”

Spears initially kept the news to herself when she learned of the pregnancy from an at-home test and subsequent doctor visit, she told the celebrity magazine.

“Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone’s opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me,” she said.

Spears broke the news to her mother, Lynne, just before Thanksgiving, the magazine reported.

“She was very upset because it wasn’t what she expected at all,” Spears said. “A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive.”

Lynne Spears, already grandmother to Britney’s young sons, told the magazine: “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious. She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.”
