Britney's Out in Vegas!

Britney Spears, 26, was spotted lounging poolside in Vegas at the Palms Casino & Resort with a few friends on Friday. She was in town to celebrate Father's Day weekend with her dad, Jamie Spears.

Spears looked great at the pool rocking an Ed Hardy two-piece bikini. Go, Britney! Stay out of those tabloids, we're rooting for her!

In other news, Spears is reportedly one of 41 actresses on the long list of Emmy nominees for outstanding guest actress in a comedy series.

Her two appearances on CBS's "How I Met Your Mother" were ratings gold for the show, which was in danger of being cancelled.

The short list of Emmy nominations will be announced on July 17.

Britney on 'How I Met Your Mother' again

Entertainment Tonight released a snippet of Britney Spears' next appearance on CBS' 'How I Met Your Mother.'



The episode will air May 12 and is a continuation of the singer's first appearance, when she played receptionist Abby who had a crush on Josh Radnor's charactor, Ted. This time, Abby is still pining for Ted but is dating Barney, played by Neil Patrick Harris.

Britney Spears returns to HIMYM

People has reported that Britney Spears will return to How I Met Your Mother, reprising her role as a receptionist at a dermatologist's office who falls for Josh Radnor's character.

"The show is ecstatic and so is Britney," the source told People. "She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more."

The 24-year-old's appearance on the March 24 episode marked a comeback of sorts for the fallen singer.

"She was hilarious in the table-read, and I got to see her do the run-through as well, and she was great," Jason Segal said.
