In other baby news, People Espanol has new photos of the very heterosexual Ricky Martin (ha!) and his twin cuties Matteo and Valentino. Martin's kids were conceived via a surrogate, and he told the mag that he did this to avoid "complications": "Adoption was one option, but it's complicated and can take a long time. Surrogacy was an intriguing and faster option. I thought, 'I'm going to jump into this with no fear.'"

Ricky Martin has shelved his music career for now to spend time with his newborn twins.

The Latin singer announced he'd fathered sons via a surrogate mother last month.

And insiders say he couldn’t be happier with his new family.

‘He is so thrilled with his twins that they consume most of his time,’ a pal tells People. 'He is a happy man.

'Ricky has no plans to tour at the moment.’

His rep also confirmed Ricky, 36, will spend ‘the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children.’

He is yet to announce their names.

Twin sons delivered to Ricky Martin

Singer Ricky Martin has become the father of twin boys born to a surrogate mother, his U.S. publicist says. 

Martin, 36, best known for his song "Livin' La Vida Loca," didn't reveal the boys' names or the location of their births, but said they are healthy, People Magazine reported Wednesday.

"The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky's full-time care," a spokesman for Martin said in a statement. "Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children."

The Puerto Rican singer is unmarried, and the statement did not reveal the identity of the surrogate mother. Martin has long denied rumors that he is gay, despite having a large gay fan following. He is also well-known for his charity work on children's causes through his Ricky Martin Foundation.
