Republican's Have No Heart

Whether you like her or not, Sarah Palin has saturated the news. So much so that Ann and Nancy Wilson are being overlooked by the GOP.

The Heart women wrote a cease and desist letter to the McCain/Palin campaign to stop using their music, that the Republican's have completely ignored.

The Wilson's are particularly mad that the GOP is using their classic "Barracuda" as a theme-song for Palin. Ann sat watching as she heard her music being played while Palin was touted.

Heart issued a statement saying: "The Republican campaign did not ask for permission to use the song, nor would they have been granted that permission.

"We have asked the Republican campaign publicly not to use our music. We hope our wishes will be honored."

The GOP wrapped up McCain's speech last night with "Barracuda" as Palin stood with him on the stage.

Mitt Romney Withdraws from Republican Presidential Primary

Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, announced this afternoon at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference that he is dropping out of the campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. Romney, who views himself as the “true conservative choice,” previously had vowed to continue running even after the disastrous results of the Super Tuesday primary contests.

He claimed that he withdrew in order to unify the Republican Party and stated that “Because I love America, in this time of war, I feel I have to stand aside for our party and our country.”

With Romney out of the running, Arizona Senator John McCain will likely win the Republican candidacy. McCain’s only opponent left is Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas, and while Huckabee is an articulate and affable candidate--winning six Southern states on Super Tuesday--he has a lack of experience in foreign affairs and a lack of funds which will probably prove detrimental to his campaign.
