R.I.P. Paul Starr

Make up artist Paul Starr was found dead at his Los Angeles apartment on Tuesday. Few details are available at this time, but it is known that he hadn't been seen or heard from in days.


With more then 20 years in the fashion and film industry, Starr has worked on fashion shows of designers like Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood, Dolce & Gabbana and Sass & Bide and well as many top fashion photographers.

But Starr is best known for working his magic on celebrity clients such as Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Garner and Jessica Alba.

He was said to be 48 years young.

Angelina Jolie’s make-up artist has been found dead in his LA apartment.

Paul Starr, 48, had worked for the actress and several Hollywood stars, including Jennifer Garner and Mariah Carey, for over 20 years.

His body was discovered when his door was broken down earlier this week after he hadn't been seen for days.

‘During the time we have spent in the make up chair, we talked about everything but the photo shoot; global issues, babies, human rights,’ Ange, 33, recently said of the artist.

Paul had also worked with designers Jean Paul Gaultier and Dolce & Gabbana.

Three years ago, Jennifer, 36, commended the star in his book Beauty: Conversations With Thirty Celebrated Women.

‘Paul Starr has this uncanny ability to look at a face and see what it needs,’ she wrote.

‘He's done my face a thousand times and never repeated a look.

'I have never felt more like the best version of myself than when Paul has made me up.’

The cause of his death is unknown.
