Separation Of.... Celebs & Politics (According To Kid Rock)

You know, celebs have really been speaking about concerning John McCain and Barack Obama. Many of Hollywood's stars have publicly stated who they are supporting in the upcoming election and some (like Matt Damon, Oprah, etc) have even publicly talked about who they DO NOT like. Well, Kid Rock recently told CMT Insider his thoughts about celebrities and the Presidential candidates, you know what? I sort of agree with his statement, check it out:

"I truly believe that people like myself, who are in a position of entertainers in the limelight, should keep their mouth shut on politics. Because at the end of the day, let me tell you what I 'm good at: I'm good at writing songs and singing. What I'm not educated in is the field of political science. And so for me to be sharing my views and influencing people of who I think they should be voting for … I think would be very irresponsible on my part. So I'll just keep my mouth shut on that. I think celebrity endorsements hurt politicians. Because as soon as somebody comes out for a politician, especially in Hollywood, when they all go, 'I'm voting for this guy!' — I go, 'That's not who I'm voting for!' … As soon as Oprah Winfrey pops up and goes 'Ha-la-la-la-la,' I'm like, 'I love Barrack Obama. I hate Oprah Winfrey.' I don't hate her. I just don't believe in her, so I don't want any part of any of that. I think celebrities hurt politicians."

Controversial rocker is not a fan of the talk show legend

Kid Rock has spoken out about his dislike of talk show host Oprah Winfrey.

The rocker nominates the TV presenter as his real-life villain.

‘She rubs me up the wrong way,’ he explains.

Oprah, 54, is loved my millions of Americans who regularly tune into her daily programme The Oprah Winfrey Show.

But 'Kid' - real name Robert James Ritchie – is definitely not a fan.

‘I just don’t believe her,’ he tells The Independent magazine.

‘Maybe it’s because I’m not one of the 150 million brainwashed women who heed her every word.’

Briefly married to Pamela Anderson, Kid won't elaborate on his greatest regret, saying simply that 'she knows who she is'.

'If I could change one thing about myself,' he admits. 'I'd change the bimbo attractor chip that God must have placed in me at birth,'

US rocker also given 80 hours' community service for pub brawl

Kid Rock has been ordered by a US court to take a course to help him control his temper.

The rapper was in the dock in DeKalb County, Georgia, over a fight that broke out in a restaurant last year.

Kid Rock – real name Robert Ritchie – pleaded no contest to the charges.

The 37-year-old was also sentenced to 80 hours' community service and given a 500 fine.

He will be put on probation for a year.

Kid Rock was arrested in October 2007 after the fight
at a Waffle House in Atlanta.

Dehydration sends Kid Rock to hospital

Kid Rock did not perform Friday at the Download Festival in England due to dehydration. The rocker was rushed to the hospital only minutes before his set, the British press has reported. Organizers of the festival said Kid Rock, 37, was hospitalized in Nottingham, nearly a hundred miles north of the capital.

He was due to perform on the main stage at 3:30, but just minutes before an announcement was made that he was unwell. His spokesman told the music magazine NME that his client had stomach cramps and was dehydrated. He had reportedly attended a party the night before that continued until the early morning of June 13.

Kid Rock stirred up controversy earlier in the week when he spoke to the The Guardian about his new hit, "All Summer Long." The reporter asked him about questions about whether the song is a racist anthem, a debate she compared to the confederate flag.

"I still use the confederate flag. Why should someone be able to own any image and say what it is?" he replied. "Sure, it's definitely got some scars, but I've never had an issue with it. To me it just represents pride in southern rock'n'roll music, plus it just looks cool."

Celebrity News: Kid Rock Says Pam Lied About Miscarriage

NEW YORK — Kid Rock claims Pamela Anderson lied about a miscarriage during their brief marriage last year. Anderson lied while they were arguing about visiting her on the set of a movie in Canada, the 36-year-old rapper alleges in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.

"She's in Vancouver shooting a movie and I have Lakers seats on the floor, and I'm gonna go to the Lakers (basketball) game with my friend Jesse James," the 36-year-old rapper says.

"I'm like, `Baby, I got these tickets. I'll see you on the weekend there,' and that leads into her saying, `You don't care about me, blah blah blah,'" Rock says. "She finally comes up with this: `I just had a miscarriage' ... and hangs the phone up."

Rock, claiming he was unaware that Anderson was pregnant, says he chartered a plane and flew to Vancouver. "When I get there, she's partying at this restaurant, drinking champagne, jumping on the tables. I'm thinking, `That's a quick recovery from a miscarriage.'"

Last November, a spokeswoman for the former "Baywatch" star said Anderson had suffered a miscarriage. Later that month, Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, and Anderson filed for divorce, seeking to end their marriage of less than four months.

In response to the allegations, Anderson's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, referred The Associated Press to an e-mail that is quoted in the magazine's story.

"I hope his album does well," the 40-year-old actress says. "I hope he's happy in life. We were married for four months. If he has nothing nice to say about me, then please tell him to stop talking about me."

Last month, Anderson and Rick Salomon applied for — and were granted — a marriage license in Las Vegas, according to Clark County's Marriage License Bureau.

Rock's latest album, "Rock N Roll Jesus," is due out next Tuesday.
