Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley have spilt

Singer Avil Lavigne supposedly asked her husband of two years, Deryck Whibley to move out of their Los Angeles mansion and called quits on their relationship.

“She dumped him and told him she was leaving him," a source told Us Weekly Magazine. "She wants to move on. Divorce papers will be filed any day now.”

Sum 41 rocker Deryck is apparently “crushed” by Avril’s decision, and wanted to work through their problems.

Avril, 24, is so determined to move on from the relationship she has decided to ditch the tracks from her forthcoming album which she worked on with Deryck.

“She is going to do new songs that don't have his mark on them," a friend told the magazine. "She wants no trace of him.”

Rumors about their marital problems have been circulating for months, with Avril often seen partying with friends without her husband.

In June, Deryck went to the Los Angeles premiere of 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' alone, while Avril spent a week in Saint-Tropez with pals.

Deryck, 29, was not present at New York Fashion Week on Monday (9-14-09) when Avril revealed her clothing line.

Deryck’s representative did not comment on the report and Avril’s could not be reache

Avril Lavigne cancels tour dates

Canadian singer Avril Lavigne cancelled two tour dates last week and six more upcoming shows in California and Washington due to acute laryngitis.

"My sincerest apologies to all of my fans," she wrote in a MySpace message. "My intention was to complete the rest of the tour but tonight at sound check in Anaheim I realized this wasn't possible. Even though I have been resting my voice for days, when I tried to sing nothing came out."

Lavigne said the flu and feeling "run down" caused her to cancel her earlier shows.

"I have never cancelled a show in my whole career and just had to for the first time ever. This sux!" she wrote on MySpace Thursday.

Lavigne will hit the United Kingdom next, with her first stop in Glasgow May 26. Her Best Damn Tour began in March and ends in August.

Did Daughtry steal?

People are commenting that Daughtry's new song "Feels Like Tonight" is extremely reminscent of Asphalt's "Tonight."

The writer and pop technician Dr. Luke was the same person involved in Avril Lavigne's recent scandal with her hit "Girlfriend" and The Rubinoos old song "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend."

What do you think? Is hitmaker Dr. Luke really writing slight variations to existing songs' choruses, or is it all merely a coincidence?

Avril Lavigne Says She's No Copycat

Avril Lavigne has hit back over claims her hit single 'Girlfriend' is a rip-off of a song written by a 70s rock band.

The 22-year-old singer claims she has never heard the 1979 track, 'I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend', written by Tommy Dunbar and James Gangwer of The Rubinoos, which they claim is the basis for her 2007 hit 'Girlfriend'.

Avril wrote on her official website: "I had never heard this song in my life and their claim is based on 5 words. All songs share similar lyrics and emotions. As humans we speak one language.

"Simply put, I have been falsely accused of ripping their song off. My songwriting partner Luke Gottwald and I have done nothing wrong and there is no merit to their claim."

But The Rubinoos - who have posted clips of the two songs side-by-side on their website - don't accept Avril's excuse and are adamant she has copied them.

Dunbar - who filed the lawsuit in San Francisco on July 2 - said: "We are not so naive as to chalk it up to some sort of cosmic coincidence. The lyric, the metre, the rhythm - they're identical."

The case is due to be heard in a California court on August 28.

Avril Loved The Picture Her Husband Took of Her

Canadian pop star Avril Lavigne hired her singer husband Deryck Whibley to snap photos for her album cover.

Lavigne, 22, chose the Sum 41 rocker's work after an impromptu photoshoot.

The Complicated singer says, "We got in the car and went to The Valley in LA and I got onto the sidewalk and he shot me. It's a really cool picture."

"You can pay thousands of dollars to have professionals do this stuff but it was me and Deryck and our two friends who did it all on our computer. I love the cover."

Avril Lavigne HATES Paris Hilton

Canadian pop star Avril Lavigne has hit out at 'celebrities' who are known only for "being at Hollywood clubs or dating people".

The Sk8er Boi hitmaker, who has lived in the limelight since the age of 17, hates people like Paris Hilton who abuse their "20 seconds" of fame.

Lavigne, 22, says, "I think it's funny that there are people who are famous who haven't done anything. They're just famous for being at Hollywood clubs or for dating people."

"The thing you have to remember with that kind of fame is it's 20 seconds long. So really, I feel kind of bad for them."

Avril Lavigne Laughs At Her Grumpy Teenage Years

Pop rocker Avril Lavigne laughs when she looks back at her earlier 'grunge' years - because they remind her how much she has grown up.

The Sk8er Boi hitmaker, 22, has swapped her skater persona for a more sophisticated image and cringes at the way she used to behave.

She says, "When I look back now all I can think is, 'God, I was such a s**t'. I was such a tomboy, running around, getting in fights, hanging out with guys."

"In all my interviews I would have my head down and moodily just grunt an answer."

"I look back and laugh now as I realise how much I've grown up. But that was my style back then, that was me."
