Shakira and Boyfriend ‘On a Break’
The latest celebrity news about Colombian singer Shakira is that she and her boyfriend of 11 years have broken up, but some speculate that the split could be temporary. She told Us Magazine, “We made a mutual decision to take time apart from our romantic relationship.” She also referred to the years spent with investment banker Antonio de la Rue “the most wonderful years of our lives.”
The singer left open the possibility that the two could reconcile in the future, saying, “We view this period of separation as temporary and as a time of individual growth.” Sources close to Shakira say that there was no big drama or cataclysm, but that the two felt like they had become more friends and business partners than romantic partners.

Selena Gomez Threatened by Bieber Fans?
The latest celebrity news and gossip surrounding the 18-year-old Disney Channel star and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador is that some of the more ardent Justin Bieber fans have expressed their discontent after the latest round of photos showing the two getting cozy together. After a picture of the two kissing on a private yacht in St. Lucia appeared, plenty of young Bieber fans Tweeted, threatening to “kill” Gomez should she break Bieber’s heart.
Entertainment website E! Online went to a former prosecutor to ask whether Tweeted threats are considered serious enough for law enforcement action. Because the threats were given over the web, any crimes would be under federal jurisdiction, but it would have to continue, worsen, or be more specific for Gomez t file a police report and have the authorities (in this case the FBI) investigate, and that hasn’t happened yet.
